Can you still get a Tibo?

Does the PX Ali Bongo come with Magura 4 bolt mounts or just the standard posts?

Dont just rub the vaseline around the edge of the nostril - jam it right it there and give it a good rub around. Works for a while. If you take tablets, mix up the brands and active ingredients like someone said because you tend to build up an immunity taking the same one.

Alex, champion post mate. I have a snapped 2SixH which I have repaired but its not fit for trials anymore. Considering the number of people who have trashed their 2Six's I thought maybe the Urban would be a bit more resilient. How do you rate the ride of the A1 compared to the 2Six? Did you do a straight swap of parts? Cheers.

A few people have had problems with Saracen frames over the years failing. Am after some opinions from people who have the Urban or have ridden one. Do they stand up to the normal day to day abuse of trials?
-
Yes, very similar. Just waiting on some propane to turn up in the post

I have a snapped chainstay on an '05 Saracen (yes another one!) and am going to weld using a different technique which doesnt melt the parent metel, hence reduces the effect of heat affected zone and future breaks. Its a type of brazing rod which my old man uses to fix ladders, rebuild castings etc. This could be just the thing for your rim. I plan on doing this work by the weekend so if successful will post pictures and info.

Well explained but I dont totally agree. Yes theres less material but radially laced spokes are in compression whereas 3X are primarily in tension (due to being tangential). So, where the spoke joins the hub it is trying to push the material from under the head of the spoke towards the centre of the hub, not trying to rip the flange apart. Radial lacing is bad for disc brakes because when you are braking, the rim of the wheel is still trying to roll whilst you stop the hub which tends to 'roll up' the spokes and stress them out. You can get away with this using rim brakes because you are stopping at the rim and the inertia at the hub is quite small comparitively.

I found these links rubbish on road and xc as well. After a short time they were the link that seized or snapped. So much for ease of maintenance. In the end I used to break them out and join normally from new.

Use a piezo switch from a gas bbq as an ignition source. Place it like a trigger under the barrel and wire it in. Hairspray works a treat for a fuel. The more expensive the better. Use a large bore as the fuel chamber and a reducer into a smaller barrel which is just smaller than a tennis ball. Jam it in, fuel it up, screw the cap back on and fire. Frozen oranges work VERY well. If a bit concerned about your craftmanship and the whole thing exploding then put the leg of an old pair of pants over the barrel. It helps to contain shrapnel. The REAL fun in pneumatic cannons. Thus is 2 chambers connected by a 90 deg 12V sprinkler valve. One you fill with air, whatever your track pump will put out - say 130psi. Shove whatever you like into the other end. Spuds, last nights dinner, baked beans, fill the barrel with water and freeze it, cut the end of glowsticks and fire them at night etc. Press the button, the valve opens and you'r away. Disclaimer: I dont condone this type of behaviour

Started at 32, 33 this year. I buy my own Mars Bars.

Instead of using your foot just tie the other end of the chain around a post/rail/fence/small child etc. Its better to have the tyre inflated to reduce risk of damaging your rim when you start cranking.

Dont forget beryllium. Mega expensive but very light and very very strong. This may help Bike Metallurgy As for easily weldable - check out a brazing method using HTS - 2000 brazing rods. Could be quite useful for all you guys with cracked/broken frames sitting around in a shed or under a bed somewhere.

Has no one ever used a vice to do this? I guess not every one has a vice that big. Wind it out, put a set of soft jaws in, put the headset and cups in and wind away.

High 80's (in km/h) down some hilly roads and 90km/h (56mph) on a flat road slipstreaming a truck. Ran out of gears and he slowly pulled away.

Looks like a lot of fun but is out of bounds - and its in Germany.

Motorbike Trials At The Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony
2sixstreet replied to mikey23's topic in Trials Chat
Anyone remember the Sydney 2000 Olympics opening ceremony? MTB trials was featured in that (no I dont mean the giant bicycle riding kangaroos). There were a bunch of guys on elevated rails doing static 180's and stuff. Of course it didnt get much airtime cos not many people would have known (or cared) what it was. -
Sweet pics dude. What digi are you using?

Are you saying the oxygen in water or trapped air? If its trapped air then a good bleed would be ok? If you're talking chemically oxygen then I dont understand how this can rot seals. The ph of deionised water is pretty close to 7 which is about as neutral as you can get. You're saying royal blood lubes the system and thats fair enough but what has that got to do with rotting seals?

What series of aluminium is the frame? Different grades have different properties which can affect weldability. Meaning it may not be able to be easily welded.

Am after the PCD for the 22T ring on a Suntour Duro crankset. Also would like to hear from people who have replaced the OEM 22T with another brand and what they have found to work well. Cheers.
