  1. The BMX crowd have a downloadable magazine called passion. It might be worthwhile someone starting something like that. People reporting on different town's scenes etc. I know it might attract a lot of rubbish but something where people sent in their own articles and then a few people could put it together into a pdf may work... The only prob i can see is a lot of the info is already available online and so a downloadable mag might be a waste of time. I know here in Stratford a lot of the bmxers read it and contribute a bit (i think). And it would kind of collate everything into one easily downloadable file. Also good for publishing pics in if your particularly proud of something!!! Tom
  2. "Had middleburns, they were extremely heavy and only took a 22T chainring." I use a 20 tooth ring on my middleburns and i used to have them on my old pashley and that bike weighed under 20lbs at one point
  3. Halfords sell luminous pink if you want it that bright. Kinda like the fluro rims everyone seems to want. Also i'm sure they do a normal pink if you dont want it uber bling.
  4. If its more kinda Aaron Chase style riding 36-16 works, not too big at the front. If you want to stick with a more trialsy gear i think 20-12/13 is a bit harder. Best way is to try out a few bikes though like you said. It might be worthwhile testing out a few bmx's as well. The fashion in bmx is to have the smallest you can get away with like 28-13(i think it was).
  5. Really you'll want someting that gives 30 frames a second, otherwise your going to find the video is a bit jumpy. If you can afford it a second hand mini dv camcorder will be best as that will record at a good frame rate and the quality will be good. Something like this:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sony-DCR-HC19E-Mini-...1QQcmdZViewItem Try and get something that has a firewire out as this will allow you to edit on a pc or mac. In my experience cheaper solid state cameras tend to show their cheap-ness in the video at the end. However if your using it to make an online video which will be compressed you may be ok with them. The more frames a second it records at the smoother (if you like) the video will look Tom
  6. yeah theres a few lines down on waterside that are pretty cool, its obvious that theres been a load of riders doing them for years though!only bad thing (or good) is ther's loads of people about then

  9. to follow on from this in the actual forum cos of not bein validated yet, tf trends. used to be a member of this site back when i first started ridin, remember everyone in the local area startin off on saracen xile frames(oh how shocking they were) and the tv series stickers.when i used to work in the pashley shop people wud come in every saturday and ask for them.and they were everywhere, i was guilty too of sporting several on my bike.remember one day some kids came into the shop and ET hid under the desk in a sleeping bag and we pretended we had kidnapped him, the kids thought something weird was going on an did one, everyone was wetting themselves for ages!! anyway, sry for the rant, had one too many j2os, off for a snooze
