  1. Wow. That takes me back. I used to work in the Pashley shop and rode a matte black 26mhz. In fact, that is pretty much my exact spec. Azonic double walls, hope tiglide hubs (I stripped the ratchet ring off one and still have the chipped elbows where I fell backwards now) but I ran IRC Elgato tyres. Saturday in the shop was spent sprucing the bike up and then we went for a ride after work! I have a 24mhz in the garage still, a prototype one with disc mounts. Where did you get the stickers from out of curiosity? Would love to get a set made up and respray the frame. Would love even more to get a 26mhz built up! Had a pre-production Ashton ET frame after that and then went back to a Justice. Wish I had kept them all to be honest. Would love a ET 24.
  2. I used to ride years (+10 ago) and have a load of HS33 levers somewhere. I also have the longer single finger lever blade (can't remember the brand) with metal reach adjuster. That was the most powerful rear brake. Used to run avid ultimate v's and levers at one point too. With heatsink v pads. They were the lightest and best feeling brakes I had. Those original red levers in the post, as said are not HS33 or HS11 (11's were awful) but are the middle HS22/24 type with a trials spec.
  3. The one titled fluid23 - where is my mind has Edd Tongue, Matt Tongue and Kris Leeson (?) I believe. Edd on the black ET 24, Matt on the silver Leeson and Kris on the other bike.
  4. Like the riding, the camera work was bearable so don't worry too much bout it. What's the music in the video?
  5. The 26mhz was a colaboration of Matt and Edds design on a trials specific frame from a long time ago. They are a fairly short frame, although i have no clue how short they are, whilst the ghz (i had a go on the first one ever made) is slightly longer. If i recall the ghz is close to an ashton (mk1) geo wise. They do have the added bonus of being a steel frame, something the younger riders will not know! I'm sure some of the more committed (read geeky) members will be able to shed some more light geo wise on them.
  6. I remember an article in MBUK of Edd and Matt riding down a big rock face near a bridge, one of the first ones i bought. Wishing I had a Pashleys 26mhz. Then I landed up working in there on a satudays, had a matt black 26mhz and riding in the car park outside the shop. Then meeting up with the people that were riding town that day after the shop closed! I had a dcd on my saracen xile, having to bend it so that it would fit around my massive chainstays.A guy called Matt? from brum/solihull who had a black 26mhz with gold power pro cranks riding along a rail and me thinking it was the coolest thing in the world!
  7. People have drilled holes in parts and cut bits off for years, its not a new fashion. Drilled, Bashring, outer pedal cages/removed inners, quick release levers, brake clamps/levers, inner walls of rims, seatposts/clamps, dropouts, boosters, hubs, pedal bodies, stems, bars, top caps. All been done before, years ago. If you want a light bike then do it.
  8. I was just going throught the website he had quoted as saying he was going to use. Obviously I wouldn't use a power supply like that, hence why in the machine I specced further up I had mentioned a better one, whilst staying between £3-400 overall cost.

  10. Personally i'd go for something like this, The graphics card should play pretty much anyhting you throw at it, case is just a basic cheap case, decent psu, decent size hdd and enough memory for vista or xp. If you want 4 gig of memory you will need a 64 bit operating system, which i also left off so you could choose what you wanted. My rig is, Pentium c2d e4300, 1.8ghz oc'd to 2.66 (dual core), ATI x1900xtx, 250gb hard drive, 2 GB memory and vista 32bit. Not found a game it cant play, even had Supreme Commander running dual screen with 2 other online players and just about managed to get through that. Again, crysis looked awesome, not tried DX10 yet but that will be next to really see if there is any difference.
  11. Why does everyone on here take photos with the flash in the picture?
  12. I got a 28 hole front wheel and its fine. I built it radial on the non disc side as well and its held up pretty strong. Dinged it a couple of times and it hasn't come out of true yet.
  13. Get a set of fox forks and then get them dropped to 40/60mm. Can send the internals off to be changed, should cost around £80. That'd be the best way, that way you can use a q/r hub but you'll still have to use front disk. Would make for a nice light setup too.
  14. Its because they brand you as another threatening "hoody" hanging around. If you think from their point of view, it's proberly fairly intimidating to them having some kid making loads of noise with his brakes on a push bike. Either that or they did actually want to sit down on those benches.
  15. It is 100% NOT octalink. Just buy some isis ones.
  16. Atomlab rims are heavy, rhyno lites are probs gonna be your best bet as everyone has said. I use a mavic 24 inch rim which is nice and wide and has held a grind well (but these are hard to come by).
  17. I got my pashley down to about 19lbs with lighter parts than that and matt tongue got his to about 17lbs i think using a hell of a lot of carbon and ti and alloy. I still don't think thats accurate
  18. An ss king hub will save you 100grams over a pro 2 t
  19. They are definately a trials bike, try putting a suspension fork on one and the head angle will be all horrible. They are from back in a day when that was as trials specific as things got. Most definately a trials bike though.
  20. I got it off a friend, one of the last ones i think. In my opinion one of the nicest riding bikes ever, perfect head angle, length and reach. Cant fault it.
  21. not really a fan of all this anodised green/red/pink stuff.
  22. My Ashton Justice Spec is, Ashton Justice '06 Frame Echo lite forks Chris King Headset Kore Elite Stem (ti bolts) Azonic double walls Front try-all hub on mavic xm317 rim 28 hole with radial spokes on the non disk side, continental verticle pro tyre Avid bb7 with 180mm disk oddysee linear slick cable, Avid ultimate lever Raceface tubine cranks with 20 tooth c ring and filthy ard guard, titanium fsa bb and welgo mg1's Rear Chris King ss hub with echo 05 rim (brand new) and maxxis high roller tyre 42a 2.5 Rear brake- Ultimate arms on heatsink adapters with plaz cvr pads, ultimate lever and oddysee linear slick cable Throughout the bike there are ti and alloy bolts in the appropriate places. Could maybe do with some lower rise bars but the current setup is ok for now.
  23. I heard a rumour that they weren't anymore but was unsure as it was only a rumour. The Raid XR seems to be a fairly catalogue bike. Not really in the same keeping as the Justice or ET which were a bit more specific. Also, its more of a cruiser jump bike where as I thought Ashton was more of a trials streety/natural frame manufacturer. We haven't really had any info on the new frame for a while where as normally you would expect a bit more hype surrounding it. Also, whats happened to the License?
  24. Anyone have any idea whats going on with them. It has been a while since anything has been heard. Just wondered if they were still trading, gone bust etc?? I know the deal with Orange was supposed to be happening but nothing seems to have come from it. Cheers
