  1. Man I missed the trials community, offering the frame is way too generous. But I'm not quite sure to what degree I can ride trials with all my health jazz going on, I think the frame deserves someone who can make full use of it. And brakeless scares me either way Thanks for clearing that up, regarding the bar angle and BB height. I feel somewhat at ease knowing that I can make it work out with this frame. I can't test rolling the bars forward right now as the bike is rough shape after sitting untouched in a moisty shed for four years, but once I'll receive new parts I'll let you know how it turned out! Hit me up if you're ever in the Netherlands. Even if it turns out that I won't be able to ride I could show you around some nice spots
  2. Oh your riding is quite nice, so explosive and spinny! Still confused wether to go for a short stem or a long one Maybe I should track down an older one with even more rise so I still achieve the same height with lower length. I notice flipp puts a pedal into everything in that video though I really want to keep riding a mod, so a pure street trials bike is out of the question While the geometry is better I still find bigger wheeled bikes more sluggish to lift up, and I need to be carefull with these spaghetti arms of mine I do have a 2006 echo lite frame laying around, I know its 1005mm wheelbase, but no clue about bb.
  3. I've been out of the sport for more than 4 years due to some problems with my health. I picked up a bmx last summer and it turned out to be a lot less straining on my body since the front wheel was so easy to pick up. In the end I really missed not throwing in some trials moves and sold it. So I'm wondering if I can turn my super trialsy bike into a bit more of a street machine. I don't remember the complete spec list but here are the important bits; Frame : Echo lite 2013(?) ±1010mm wheelbase ±60mm bb rise Stem : VIZ 150mm 30° Handlebars: VIZ no clue on geometry I'm super tight atm and really want to spend less than 100 bucks. But the chain and headset bearings are quite rusted so I'll need to replace them anyways. I was thinking of getting the Trialtech high rise bars to lift up the front end. Unfortunately the stem that comes with the trialtech bars is way too low. The highest stem I can see right is only 35° , so just 5° degrees difference with my current stem. Would that make a big difference? Or should I pick a stem with a short length instead? I noticed the inspired bikes all have quite short stems. But I see flipp running a long ass stem so I'm not quite sure It's unfortunate the frame is so long in hindsight, I'm 178cm tall so not that short fortunately. Is it worth it to give this a try, or is the frame just too trialsy? Thanks!
  4. Hey, sounds cool! Hit me up with a key. As for people wondering about the ios version, the person who was supposed to lend me a mac so I can export the .ipa is constantly traveling and I never had the chance to pick it up. My game project is finished in January so I can put a bit more priority on sidehopper from then.
  5. Yeah I was thinking about that too, but right now I'm a bit too busy with my main project. The game is pretty much done, I just need to buy the license to develop for apple projects, and then it takes a bit of time to submit it to the appstore and get it approved. I wasn't willing to pay that out of my own pocket, but I might have to since the android version is not generating any money haha. Yeah, but the scope of such a game is a bit too large for just a single person haha. And besides, biketrials is a lot slower and more static, which makes a lot more boring for people who don't have any attachment to the sports. Thanks! I could have, but I would still be too curious to check out new videos In other news, it's quite sad but the game has already been cloned I will have to put the development of the game into first gear now to avoid this other game releasing before me
  6. Yeah I remember your game! It's the reason I allocated some time to make this game, since I knew your game was loved in this community
  7. Thanks! You might not realise it but there is a character inspired by you in the game I really want to make a full biketrial multiplayer game for PC, but it's risky to make something with such a small audience Thanks! I already received some donations, I'm so humbled. Thanks a lot guys!
  8. Haha, if the game gets enough support I will consider adding extra content. For now I already put in so much work for a game that caters to such a small audience
  9. Ahh I was afraid a lot of people were on ios here, I hope I can get a ios version out in the future Thanks, I really appreciate it!
  10. Hey there, been a long while since I've posted anything here. I've been having trouble with my health since 2013 and can't ride anymore, but trials has always been on my mind. I had to ignore anything related to trials for a while since it was just a bit too painful to be confronted with it. More recently I've come to terms with it all and decided to make a little game around sidehops. It's a pretty simple game, but I put a lot of love into it. Most characters are references to real riders too! It's available for free on PC and android. The game's not quite done yet, but it's getting there. PC: https://eendhoorn.itch.io/sidehopper Android Open Alpha signup: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.eendhoorn.sidehoppin Android store url: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eendhoorn.sidehoppin I would like to make an iphone/ipad version as well but unfortunately there are some costs associated to that. It would be great if you guys could help me out with the funding for the iphone/ipad version. It's totally optional, but you can make a donation on itch.io when you download the game; Or you can donate via paypal here If you'd like to know more about my company, Eendhoorn Games, you can check me out here; https://twitter.com/EendhoornGames https://www.facebook.com/Eendhoorn If you have any questions or feedback, let me know! (Oh and btw, I'm totally out of date with biketrials networks on the web, if anyone could suggest me any other places I could post this that would be great!)
  11. Whenever I see that yellow bike I know I'm up for something good
  12. Kees Jan asked me to post his getcreative entry here. So here it is. Never seen anything like this before..
  13. Thanks for the info, sounds like you know your stuff. I´m going to give the doctor a call tomorrow since this is beginning to become unbearable. I´ll ask if she can forward me to a physio, I´ve never actually been to one.
  14. Haha that sounds about right. Still not sure whats funny about it though I just looked it up. Whilst I did have sleeping problems my entire life, all of the other symptons don't really match with what I have. Thanks for mentioning it though, had never heard of this.
  15. Why is that awesome? I was not really sure what the english word was, so I might have said something funny. Oh interesting, I wasn't really sure if there was any kind of "scan" to see damages in muscles.
  16. They checked it many times and it seemed to be fine. Making games is my passion, I won't change that haha. But I don't really think it has anything to do with it, as I often did the same thing at home for 12 hours, and I had no problems whatsover at that time. Yeah I'm planning to stretch some more, thanks for the tip! Yeah my weight is fine, I'm not really thin or anything. The doctors here don't give a shit, they put through the usual routine and then conclude nothing is wrong. I actually have a powerball haha. Never seemed to help though. How did they determine your muscles are damaged? Since they didn't want to do anything else beside a blood check here. The trigger points sound spot on, I do have alot of knots. When I move my shoulder blades apart you can actually hear them "pop" or something, it's really strange. Besides riding I also exercise a bit before I go to sleep, do some push ups and stretch. I can see that this would not be enough though. The thing that's weird to me as that I have the same lifestyle as I always have, but now suddenly I have this issue with my muscles. I can't think of anything that would have triggered this. Yeah I've been thinking of getting a massage. I don't really know where to go to though, we have lots of "thai massage" places in amsterdam, I think that's a whole different kind of massage though Thanks for all the kind replies everyone, always a great help here! It has gotten pretty bad overnight, my legs are also starting to hurt a lot and for the first time it is keeping me from riding. I actually had a dream that a dog was biting my arm tonight and it wouldn't let go, pretty much the feeling I have in my arm haha. But I'm beginning to think it's a wider problem, since my legs are also starting to hurt more.
  17. This forum has been a great help in the past. Someone here actually diagnosed my heart condition (re-entry tachycardia) while the doctors convinced me nothing was wrong (They did eventually found out the re-entry tachycardia when I pushed it on them to research it). So here I am again. The last 6 months I've been having some troubles with tension in my forearm muscles They are basically tense the entire day and won't relax. It has gotten to the point where squeezing a brake or pressing the shoulder buttons on a gamepad hurt. My legs also hurt sometimes, after long walks I can't sleep from the pain, it feels like they are being sueezed in a vise. This doesn't affect my every day life alot though. I've been to the doctors, they did a blood exam, couldn't find anything and didn't bother anymore. The muscles that bother me most seem to be these: - Extensor Capri Ulnaris - Extensor Digitorum - Sometimes Flexor Capri Ulnaris When squeezing a brake it hurts more in the underside of my forearm; - Flexor Capri Radialis - Palmaris Longus It's kind of hard to pinpoint the exact muscles though, but it seem to be these. My nutrician seems to be fine: - I eat breakfast (custard) - lunch at work at 13:00 (sandwiches with chicken or cheese, usually a piece of fruit too) - Dinner (usually a typically dutch meal which consists of potatoes, vegetables and a piece of meat) I weight 64kg and am 1.80 meters tall. I work as a programmer at a game company, so I work with mouse and keyboard a lot. At work I've adopted the use of a drawing tablet instead of a mouse to reduce stress on my forearm. I have also purchased a high quality anti-RSI mouse called the handshoemouse. I've only had it for a week, so I haven't used it a lot though. I had times where I would work 8+ hours a day on a computer for weeks in the past, and I never had problems with muscle tension there. so I'm not sure if siting behind the computer is related. Since i've started working fulltime I don't have alot of time for biketrials, usually around 3 hours a week in 1 session. I have no pain whatsoever whilst riding, it feels like that is because I'm warmed up though. This issue is starting to have a big impact on my ability to work. I had to work overtime today and the extra hours are killing my arm. Hope anyone could point in a direction where this could be coming from.
  18. That's a pretty small disc on the rear, any idea which brake it is? Seems to hold up good.

I think it's a nice lever, but the fact that you can move the blade outwards feels sort of scary. Maybe you haven't noticed it, but I keep doing it on accident while coasting along and it feels strange haha. I agree with the water bleed feeling though, it does feel very responsive!
  20. Edit: woops, confused you with roderick there haha. Anyway, looking good!
  21. The inspired bikes are really expensive. I think you should consider get a second hand bike, it's alot cheaper and most of the times they are really well maintained. I have been riding with he same wheels and front brake for 5 years for example, still works ! It doesn't matter if you don't get a specific street bike. Danny macaskill himself didn't have that for most of his riding career. You can change the height of your bars and you can make a pure trials-bike it as streety as you want.

Just received the brake. Under the cover at the cilinders there is a small bolt similiar to the 2005 hs33. Not sure if the old bleed screw fits though, since I've lost it. Also not sure if I can run it with water. It came with a good bleed though, so all is good. I just tested 10min outside my house and it was pretty good without bedding the pads in. The lever is a tiny bit flexier, but that might just be because I never used a long blade. There is a little screw on the top that you can use to change the lever's reach, really handy! The tpa feels really fragile when turning it though, I'm afraid to touch it. The lever overall seems a bit less strong, but only time will tell. One minor annoyance is that it uses torque bolts with some strange ass thread. But other than that I'm really satisfied.

Oh damn, haven't thought about bleeding at all. I don't have a bleed nipple And I'm also not sure if these are fine to run with water.

I've managed to order one. I'll give a review once I rode them

I've been avoiding the 2011 version since it's release, but I'm really in need of a new rear brake now. When are these expected to be sold? A price would also be nice
