  1. I already mentioned it in my post, but I think it's also pretty important to note that you should release the front brack when you spring up.
  2. I was also extremely bad at these, I'm still not good at them, but I am able to do em now! The thing that made the biggest difference was to release the brakes when you jump up, it's pretty much impossible otherwise. It will feel pretty weird at first, but that'll pass. The other thing is to practise them on a "ledge" where you can put your front wheel onto. Like the gif with the pallet, when you can put your front wheel on a corner you will get alot of spring from tire compression and that helps a massive amount.
  3. It's not really a "crack" for me, it feels softer than that, like it's something with a muscle. But the rest seems pretty similiar, I feel your pain And yeah, it never occurs when you "want" it too It sounds like you have a different issue than me, but I'm prepared to do anything to help my chest. Funny enough, my stomach is in a horrible shape compared to the rest of my body, muscle wise. It kills me when my 13 year old nephew punches me gently So that could actually play a role. Situps it is. I have been having new issues recently aswell, I thought it was a one time thing but it occuring more often now. My heartbeat feels to get "stuck", the duration of one beat is slightly longer than usual. This occurs at random times, I was having a drink with some friends, totally relaxing and it suddenly happend. I get the same pressure in my chest that I get when the rapid heartbeat comes up. This is all really on my mind the whole day, the pressure makes me aware of it the entire day Thanks for all the replies guys, feels good to be taken seriously for once!
  4. Trials is the only form of exercise I do, but I did get it when I went parkouring for jokes once. I went to the doctor alot, but as long as you look healthy they don't take you very seriously. This sounds EXACTLY like what I have. Thank your girlfriend for me. I will bring this up to the doctors at my next visit. May I ask how she knows about the condition? I actually had one for a month, but we use a very primitive system at the hospital I'm at. You had to send the recording through the phone. I had just gotten a smartphone, which had trouble sending it. Went to the hospital to ask if I could use their analog phone. But they took in the heart recording device and told me "too bad for you" afterwards. So I never could send in the recording. They also told me in the hospital that my heart is healthy, so I think the heartrate is more of a response to something else than a cause.
  5. I know that there is a medical topic, but this is pretty unique problem and I'm afraid that the one person that might know what it is overlooks it. It might seem a bit misplaced to put it here, but I'm really at a loss here. For about 3 years now I have been having strange problems with my heart. During trials I sometimes feel something I can only describe as click (small focusesd pressure) in the right side of my chest, and my heart starts beating like a madman (140bmp). You might think "duh, ofcourse your heart beats during exercise" but this really is different. I get very dizzy and start to see dark spots, so I have to sit down. I usually go home when I feel good enough. The heartrate remains fast for 30-60 minutes when I get home. I'm completely calm in terms of physical exercise, I just sit on the couch or stand under the shower usually. The only solution to stop it is to take a deep breath. In that deep breath my heartrate instantly drops from 140bmp to 70bpm. A few notes: - This used to occure in about 1 of 6 rides, it now happens in about 1/3 - the click is in the RIGHT side of my chest, so not actually where my heart is. - it is mostly caused by a pedal up - I have sometimes had this after bikeing, getting home and doing a small jump up the stairs. I have had this about 3 times without exercise, which were all when I laughed. I already went to the hospital a number of times, they made an echo of my heart and made me wear a heartmeter thingy for a day. I went for a ride that day, but frustrating enough it didn't happen the one time I needed. According to the results, my heart is in good shape. I have been having an uncomfortabel feeling in my chest exactly where the click occurs for a couple of months now aswell, it feels as if the click can happen every moment. Anyone has any idea what this could be?
  6. That is sick, anyone has any idea where the pictures will show up? Saw some photographers with him up there.
  7. Echo TR's I'm not using any washers indeed, I thought their only purpose was to "slide" adjust the pads, instead of clicking them with ridges on the hs33 caliper. Thanks for the heads up. I am indeed using try-all rims. I never realised that pads were supposed to wear at an angle. Thanks. One other problem that's not visible is that the pads (from the perspective of the picture) "front" and "back" allignment is also crooked, meaning that the back will hit the rim earlier than the front. Which I do think is a unintended problem. But I assume that new clamps and washers should fix this, thanks!
  8. I've been having this problem for a while, but am not sure what the cause is. As far as I'm aware you can only control the horizontal alignement of pads towards the rim, but not the vertical alignment. Which caused one side of the brakepad to hit the rim earlier than the other. I can align them properly when the bolts are loose, but as soon as I tighten the alignment messes up. I don't feel comfortable using my new pads because I'm sure they will wear at an angle
  9. Use the physical buttons. It might sound logical, but people focus on the touchscreen too much, the buttons are there for a reason. Whenever you feel "where/how can I find/do feature X" look at the buttons. The "menu" button acts as a context menu specific for the app your in, kind of like the right mouse button on a windows PC. Once you get used to the buttons, every other phone will feel very primitive Every app does things differently on an iphone. Whenever I need to find the settings in an app I'm always searching where I should find it. Android always uses the menu button, consistancy for the win.
  10. It's not really the hop, but the little "surge" forwards by applying pressure on the pedals.
  11. Have you ridden motortrials before this? your gap technique reminds me of it. You should really try to get rid of that habit of doing a small pedal kick before you gap. It will be very hard to unlearn once you get better.
  12. That brake sounds ridiculous, what pads?
  13. Exactly how I messed up my back (probably for life). You managed to do a tiny "roll" out of it which probably reduced the damage alot.
  14. I really wonder what biketrials would look when the drivetrain is powered by an engine (without taking the weight into account).
  15. It's already been 16 days but I'll take your word on it.
  16. April 30th. Forgot to mention I also e-mailed and messaged him on here, but didn't get a response.

I've ordered some pads from http://www.phatworks.co.uk/ but I have the feeling it's not active anymore. Can anyone shed any light on this? I can just redraw the money from paypal, but I don't want to receive an angry e-mail one day later from him
  18. I don't know what people are complaining about, there are not alot of demo teams that have such a nice variety. Trial does seem a bit out of place, the rider seems rushed to keep up the pace. I think you should take advantage of the slow pacing in trials and use it as a moment of rest for the audience. This might sound degrading to the rider, but I think the audience would enjoy it if they can watch something more relaxed for a moment. You could even using a slower trialssection to prepare for a nex set and move some stuff around or position the other team members. This video doesn't seem like a proper show yet, but I think you were just showing off the different skills you have. I'm sure a nice setup with cool transitions into the sports would come naturally. Good job!
  19. Using rectangles, that's just nasty! Might be too late now, but here is how you do it using lines. - You don't need any clipping mask or anything, just draw a rectangle using the pen tool. - Select the entire triangle - Copy it three times - Paste in place 3 times (ctrl + F) - Make each triangle the colour for the different line Repeat for each triangle: - Select a triangle go to the top bar: Object > Path > Outline stroke - The stroke is now a shape - Remove each unwanted segment using the delete anchor point tool (hold leftmouse on pentool). Might seem like alot of hassle, bit it shouldn't take more than 1 min. And you are assured that each line connects seamlessly to the other
  20. Maybe 5 kilometers max during rides yea I'm a rebel, f**k miles! I could never use my trialsbike for transportation though, way too big risk it would be stolen. When riding in my hometown I just go on my schoolbike and hold the trialsbike in one hand at the frame.
  21. Don't use dreamweaver, learn to create one inline. It's fine to use their text editor, but don't use any of the visual editor stuff. It generates ugly code. HTML and CSS should be pretty easy to learn, but don't try to create a website the very first time. Practise and mess around before making something real.
  22. Oh well, I got one for €1 now
  23. I'm not from the uk
  24. Just a quick question. I bought some phatpads (actually phadmags) from http://www.phatworks.co.uk/phatmags.html. But I've never received a comformation they're being sent or anything. Afterwards I noticed that the websites says "Phatworks 2010". Which makes me wonder if he stills sells them via the website? I've sent him a pm but haven't received a response yet.
  25. Yea I found it after some googling Gonna go to a proper bikeshop tomorrow to get one, I don't count on halfords even knowing what the tool is
