Seems like you guys are all settled for christmas, had to browse through a couple of pages to find this! Anyway, there is this girl I like(d). We met up a couple of months ago after not seeing or speaking to eachother for a while. Everything was good, having fun playing games and watching movies. I don't have any female friends so I just wanted to keep things friendly. She messaged me one night at 5am that she had no place to stay after her friend had lost her keys, so I picked her up and dragged her to my house. I don't do one night stands or anything, and I have been single for a year, so it was pretty "special" to have a girl next to me in bed. Being the gentleman that I am, I kept my hands to myself and tried not to touch her. As I grew tired I kind of lost discipline and stroked her belly and butt, but nothing major I guess During the night she would often hold my hands (also before the stroking) and I didn't know what to think of it. The next day we just spend the whole day in bed cuddeling, which I greatly enjoyed. I tried to meet up, she said that she was busy, which she genuinly was at that moment. However, on one day all contact just broke. It was very obvious something had happend because we used to talk all the time. Saw some pictures of her and some dude on facebook, so it was pretty clear what happend. Wished her a merry christmas today and I got exactly 1 word and 1 number back; "u 2". Pretty damn pissed now. Got out of my bed 5-a-f**king-m for her. She always said that friendship should be a 2 sided thing, that she won't bother when someone only seeks contact when other people feel like it. Which is exactly what she's doing now. Not really asking for any advice her, just needed to get it off my chest! I have unfollowed her from facebook to prevent any further emotional harm.

I have played one at a friends house. This should be pretty family friendly; not only in the sense that games are easy enough to play with the entire family, but you can also play singleplayer solely on the tablet. So you won't have to claim the the TV every time you want to play.

I had the same problem, had two different sets of ram, 256mb and 512mb (this was about 7 years ago ) and whe I put em both I had worse performance than when I used the single 256mb.

1080i is only used in televisions, so it's not relevant for tablets

I think the term "High Definition" covers that pretty much. And I don't think that you have to be a nerd to understand that 1080 is more than 480

The whole retina stuff is bullshit. I hate this generation of tech with all their stupid tech terms. The nexus screen should have sharper visuals, they just don't tag a fancy name on it.

They just announced the nexus 10, which is a 10" android tablet and might better suit your requirements. http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/29/nexus-10-vs-the-competition-fight/ I would never purchase a tablet without any external data storage (microsd), but the ipad never had any so you should be fine.

Everything on an ipad is made so incredibly hard to do. Trying to watch a movie, ebook or whatever is an absolute nightmare. On an android tablet it's simply a matter of plugging in a usb drive/sd card and browse to the file. The android operating system also functions alot better, every application is consistant in it's use; menu button for options, back button to go back, home button to exit. Every application on ios devices works differently, and whenever I use an application it's not straight forward how to go to settings/menu. However, there are alot better apps on ios.
