What he said. Another pointer i can give is to only tighten each spoke no more than half a turn at a time, this will reduce the risk of disaster!

3X will be the easiest pattern to learn if it's your 1st build. As for spoke lengths it will vary between hubs (different flange sizes/offsets) There are various spoke length calculators over the internet, failing that tarty will normally calculate it for you when you order spokes from them.

Did this with my rohloff so I could run 18/16 on my control frame without the wheel hanging out the drop out. Worked an absolute treat, needed to change to some longer bolts and space a few things out to get the chain line correct but worked ace and never moved. Something like this COULD be done with a rear mech if you remove the bolt and set it up correctly.

As for servicing remove the freewheel from your crank arm and remove the lock ring to take it apart, clean each individual part with a good degreaser and re assemble. There's probably a guide to doing this somewhere on the forum/internet if you get stuck.

Just with the brackets that come with it, a little bit of patience and probably a bit of luck too. When rigged on it was missing my foot by about half an inch. Haha.

As the title says. How long are you supposed to stay off trials moves when bedding in an SL freewheel? I know there are a few that you need to do this with so the grease thins inside. Couldn't find anything like this with the SL so thought I'd double check as I don't wanna end up with something that skips all over the place a few months down the line. Cheers.

A well set up odyssey evo with decent pads works wonders. Although not as good as a maggy, which is why I brazed some 4 bolt mounts onto the other side of my seatstay works an absolute treat! You can get v brake plates which someone posted above but I've never seen a U to V adaptor.

So me and a pal had a chilled days riding today and decided to give his go pro a try (he rides a lot of mtb and uses it for that) Just played about with some angles and stuff and he edited them http://www.pinkbike.com/video/244486/ Blown away with how stable it is when mounted to the bike and how it just takes the harshest landings.

Hey guys, been running this frame for not long now and i've had my super pro burns on. Had to get rid to run a larger chain and went with 18/15, to get the chain tensioned the wheel is pretty much as far back is it will go and the brake set up is so shady, I'm having to angle the slaves as much as they will not adjust down any further. I can just manage to get the chain on with the rear wheel as far forward as it will go but it's that little bit too tight. Is there a ratio that was widely used with these? I assumed it would of been 18/15 but obviously I'm wrong. Cheers edit: Also had this problem with the burns.. 16/13 or 16/14 I was running there, but had to lose the burns as the arms were a bit too close to the chainstays for comfort.

Years and years ago a guy I knew was on about setting up 6 gears evenly spaced on a king hub using a modified (bodged) road bike downtube shifter with a spaced out mech and wide chain. Not sure what became of it but it don't sound a bad idea.

Hey guys. 1st vid was from a good few years ago... I know the sound track to it was rock lobster by the B52s. It was a bunch of guys riding rocks on streety bikes with seats and was pretty damn awesome. 2nd vid was also from a few years ago and it was of a guy who chopped up an old echo team mod frame and fitted a rear shock to it. I forget his name! All help appreciated.

2nd time I've rode the stock. Been on mod for a few months since starting back up again. My set up control is terrible still and needs loads of work! But I'm getting there and having loads of fun doing so! After all that's all that matters! Enjoy.

My favorite bits: Turndowns - Don't think I've ever seen anyone do one on a trials bike Manual lines - Winning! General bmx influence. Least favourite bits: the music =/ Just didn't think the choice of music really suited your riding style Overall. Bloody awesome! I'm not normally all that bothered with brake less trials edits. Any need in posting a reply that contributes nothing to the topic? As for saving money on parts that is not my intention. I am looking for a specific chain which I have used in the past and has been top quality.

It is, but would be a last resort as they weigh a tonne and I'd have to buy another motorbike chain tool.

Probably gonna buy one, if it's poor quality I'll just stick it on the bmx when it needs a newun.
