  1. Sounds perfect. At a great price too. Love tf pricing. Should be able to sort payment out by the weekend if you don't mind holding on until then? Cheers joe
  2. Got any details on the 7d? Been looking at them for a while, not sure if I'm ready to bite the bullet yet.
  3. I'm looking to upgrade my body, basically on the back of the shoot I posted about a few weeks ago there is a chance I can pick up a more regular stream of paid work. at the moment I'm looking second hand and either at a 7d mk1 or a 60d. By the look of the specs online it is the same sensor but the 7d runs away with it in the focusing department. I have used a 7d a lot so I am familiar with the layout, the only downside is the added cost of buying decent CF cards as my current body uses SD this would be an issue on the 60d. Does anyone have any experience with a 60d? Cheers Joe
  4. If the rear axle is screwed a replacement isn't very expensive and realativly easy to replace. Refurb units can be had for £150 ish or a patent part for similar.
  5. Sweet cheers. In other news, a charity i did some work for back in the summer have used some one of my images in an online publication regarding the event. One of the duller images of the day, but its still been published on a big website for the sport. http://www.todaysgolfer.co.uk/news-and-events/general-news/2015/september/longest-day-challenge-a-massive-hit/ Fingers crossed the more specific shots will end up in next years marketing material.
  6. Got a link to the model Mike?? Really fancy something a bit smaller than my slr to keep in my bag
  7. getting rid of a couple of camera bags. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/191441-camera-bags/
  8. Just picked myself up a proper auto flash, amazed at how easily it sets the correct exposure. Just need to get a clip on diffuser and I'm away, can't believe I've never picked one up sooner.
  9. ,I've used power line Ethernet, work perfectly and I didn't even splash out for expensive models. This was in a detached house, no experience on flats or other dwellings.
  10. Increible set and what looks like an amazing trip.
  11. So i brought myself a canon 70-200F4L and i bloody love it. By far the nicest peice of glass ive ever used. Just a couple from a BBQ at the weekend. _MG_6072 by Joe Aston, on Flickr _MG_6126 by Joe Aston, on Flickr
  12. Happy to pop along and get photos of everyone if they want. If there's a spare seat going from Nottingham I'm happy to chuck a few quid in for petrol. Ive shot a couple of track days but it was a long time ago and ive got some new kit to try out, as im missing Le Mans this weekend its the only chance il get this year to shoot some form of motorsports. _MG_8451 by joe aston, on Flickr
  13. Il be up for bringing my camera kit along, not sure how I'd feel about taking my car around a track. I'm nottingham based so I don't think it's too far from me.
  14. had a bit of play last night, two things i have a passion for so thought this was a cool way to combined the two. realised the watch was filthy once i got the images onto the pc.
  15. I've got a 50mm 1.8 and its a cracking little lens. Dont use it that much to be honest. Always handy to have though and it's not that expensive,my have thought about getting rid of mine to get some money to go towards the 70-200 I'm after but then I think it's only 60 odd quid and I think I'd rather have the lens.
  16. Cheers guys. Il start hunting for a second hand canon then. Joe
  17. Cheers yes it is the ex range. i have a 18-50 2.8 sigma and i love it, its taken some knocks and its fine i do tend to knock things around a bit. saying this i have never handled any L series glass, from what ive read it will be a real step up. i cant really justify the price of a canon 2.8 its nearly twice the price of a second hand sigma or a brand new F4 so ive ruled that option out for the time being.
  18. i have also been looking at something in the 70-200 range im unsure on what to go for though. canon 70-200 f4 or a second hand sigma 70-200 2.8? both i beleive can be picked up for a similar sort of money. im swaying towards the sigma due to it being f2.8 over f4 with me shooting a lot of sport and motor sports i would like the faster option. i havent handled either lens so any feedback anyone has would be great thanks.
  19. i would suggest glass over a new body. espically if you just have the standard kit lenes. What lenes do you have and this may give us a better idea of what to upgrade. what do you think is holding you back? i am in the same situation actually as my 6 year old 450D is now feeling a little outdated since using a mates 7D recently. edit: an old one from le mans last year. 450 struggled with focusing.
  20. went down to Cornwall last week, got super lucky with the weather. here are some of the better shots from the week.
  21. Got my self a Ibiza fr today, very impressed so far. Only small gripe is the steering wheel buttons don't seem to do anything. Any of you vag lot have any idea why this may be. It's a 2007 model. Cheers Joe
  22. Where did you get the light seals from? I have a trips had to re build due to a stuck shutter, must have been 18 months ago and I stikk haven't got around to finishing the roll of film I first loaded into it.
  23. I did a similar thing with an Olympus pen shutter was stiking but followed a really easy step by step guide and got it working. I say working as the shutter now does shoot when you put the shutter button but I'm not sure if i put it back together right as I still haven't finished the roll of film I put in it nearly a year ago. This has reminded me it's still in my glove box. I shall dig it out.
  24. Got a massive triathlon in London on Saturday and I've just noticed iv got a massive buckle in my rear wheel, just hoping Evans can sort it by Thursday.
  25. Has anyone used a VPN I'm looking at the private internet access, seems to get good reviews, I just wondered if anyone on here has used any other options?
