  1. Sounds very spooky. Wish there was something interesting around here to shoot. I'm so lazy I want it on my doorstep. Looking at it again the graph at the front really adds something.
  2. first one is my personal favourite. any way to get on board? i imagine the interior shots would be amazing. Somthing i shot the other day, a little rushed as it was freezing. i forgot my remote so couldn't do anything longer than 30 _MG_6654 by Jimyjoe, on Flickr and another because i love hats i-love-hats by Jimyjoe, on Flickr
  3. i got my dad some lego. he has everything he needs, wants. he used to love playing with my lego when i was a kid, so reckon hes going to love making this on christmas day. iv also got him and mum some vouchers for a restaurant they both like.
  4. Quad core Mac mini winging its way to me as I type. Also managed to bag 70 quid discount and an extended warranty. 24" dell ultrasharpe to be purchased in the new year. Very happy chap at the moment.
  5. Go pro and a handle bar mount would work
  6. USB 3 external drive enclosures? Does any one have any experience with any. There seem to be some really cheap options available but I guess these are to be avoided. I'm a after 3.5" model and its to house a 2tb drive. Any advice, brands, models features to look for would be a great help. Thanks Joe
  7. Sounds interesting. Got a Mac mini on order and in need of a new display.
  8. Tyre barn out towards Grantham do second and I think. Not quite Nottingham but not to far out.
  9. I use the old cactus type which I believe are the same as the cheap eBay ones, I have lightly modified mine with aa battery packs on the receivers and also an external antenna on the transmitter and this seemed to help massively in terms of distance and stability. Try some photography forums there are usually some knocking about second hand. If you want a hand modifying them if you do get some just give a shout.
  10. Apple ram is so over priced. By the base model and buy the ram upgrade from somewhere else.
  11. It is I built myself up to it on the last day and the lads I'd been shooting all week wouldn't stop and get some pics. Gutted.
  12. Right I have decided to get a panorama I made a while back printed. Rather than one wide print I was thinking of several separate prints preferably a3 that make up the whole image. My problem is I have no idea what is the best way to go about sectioning up the image. If anyone has any idea it would be a great help or even what this process is called so I can try and find a tutorial. Thanks a lot Joe
  13. Anybody had any luck setting the pi up with a external USB hdd and running it as a nas. That's my main plane for mine. I have found a couple of walk throughs online but it gets a it complex rather quickly. Thanks Joe
  14. couple of shots from a recent trip to the alps.
  15. Thanks mike they look good. Slightly worried that my monitor hasnt been calibrated so the colours could be all over the place.
  16. Home plugs or a USB wifi dongle.
  17. Cheers, I have no experience of photobox, well it's to be framed so the highest quality possible really.
  18. It would depend on what you put on the sd card. If you wanted a GUI you could install a stripped down version on linux or another common choice is rasbmc which a stripped down version of xbmc so a media front end for it. Plenty of options of what they can be used for though. I started playing with mine today but I have no experience in Linux and very very limited knowledge of using a command line.
  19. Where do people recomend for large prints preferably online.
  20. They are the same model as one of the pairs I have although mine are solid yellow. Glad your happy with them.
  21. Yeah that is very true. At the moment im using mine for shorter runs 5-6 miles and then my trusty old asics for anything longer. Im hoping for a pair of fly knits in the not too distance future. Now if you want light thats what you should go for. although i have no idea on how much they are going to cost.
  22. i have 2 pairs of these one set of V.5 and an early model i think v.3 i also have some top spec asics normal running shoes and to be completely truthful with you i prefer the asics for running anything more than 5 miles in. they are very light but unless you have the correct running style this shoes i believe are going to do you more harm then good. i was in the same boat as you and thought oh they look cool and i think barefoot running would be for me, but i found that they gave me calf strain which is something i have never suffered in a normal pair of running shoes. now i cannot comment on a pair of normal nike running shoes as i had a pair but only wore them once as they where the wrong size. (if you are wondering why i have some many pairs of nike running shoes i have a friend who works there so i pay next to nothing for them) i would not buy them without being put on a running machine in a specialists sports shop and being advise that they would be suitable for you. Hope this clears things up for you.
  23. i was working at the French car show the other day and there where some immaculate 205s really re kindled my love for them. pug1off where on the stand next to us and had one with itbs and it sounded amazing. Jardo where you there i saw a clio in the same colors as yours with a very similar personal plate.
  24. Its been a while since i have posted in here. Not been using my camera as much as i would like. First attempt at off camera flash. A lot to learn and unfortunately not a great deal of chance to practice. _MG_5142 by Jimyjoe, on Flickr
