  1. yeh! Stick another one on top and it looks as though you would do it with ease! Not bad at all mate!
  2. i learnt to mix old old jungle tracks haha! thats how i was shown anyhow! ill grab some sites my mate gets his tracks from!
  3. yes i agree, its the FEW tossers which do the job thinking they are a member of SWAT and think that they have the right to talk to people like shit which get the rest a bad name! A local lad down my way got given a £80 fine so i hear?
  4. fair few lads on here that i am looking forward to meeting! Hopefully my birthday ride shouldnt turn out to be too bad!
  5. in my local area... No, i will exsplain further down My local PCSO's are complete and utter rubbish where as the PCOS'S in london are bloody legends aswell as othere i have met in surrounding areas IE, Essex/surrey and even some PCSO'f from surrounding towns but our locals seem to be naff (not knocking the job or nowt here before anyone flies off of the rail). I am not a trouble some charachter and have never had any trouble with any police in my life... ever. But my locl PCSO's dont seem to leave me and a few others alone, i have had them folow me into my local tescos and follow me around the shop (on more than one occasion) only a few steps behind me (which i am pretty sure they cant do) I have even turn around and given them items to carry to the till for me (which they did) and then follow me out. We then walk out side through a group of youths drinking smoking and being very loud and roudy and they do not batter an eyelid! as soon as a lad goees through on a bike or a skateboard they are on him like flies on shit! Like the other day i went to the cashpoint to get some money out at around 9:30, there is a very popular local club a few meters walk from the shopping centre where i got my dollah, anyhow a few lads were kicking in a shop window... there was no PCSO's to see anywhere, i was there a few minutes and still no one turned up yet some one rides through on a push bike and christ they are there within seconds! There are a fair few doggey people around my area and there are a fair few fights and muggings, yet there is no one to be seen, PCSO's do not make me feel safe in the slightest bit and my local ones are crap BUT i have meet more decent ones then i have shit ones, but then again, i dont really want to meet any shit PCOS's!
  6. please please do! ......
  7. gutted OBM bring the cat along! Should be a great turn out if every one shows
  8. again shimano un52, what i have always used, echo made a square taper bb dont know if they still do? but anyway erm it had anodised red sheels and was pretty cool, lasted me about 3 bikes over a period of about 2 years and i then sold it on!
  9. Are we talking proper blue pallets or pansy pallets? Are we talking drag along the floor or run with it on your head with the man from the butchers shouting at you? Are we talking from one space to another or from the local loading bays home? Try carrying one home on your shoulder whilst pushing your bike and walking up some stairs! then tell me they are easy to carry!
  10. 2 pallets a time is a f**king arse of a struggle.... maybe he is He-Man?
  11. when i first tried it and it didnt fit thats what i did OBM, but it waqs brand new and i had just taken it out of the box! So i am assuming that my star nut is to small, so i will go to the shop tommorow and pick up a new one! Thanks lads!
  12. sorry chris forgot i was booked up for that weekend!
  13. thanks for that lads, i wasnt aware that they came in a range of sizes i thought it was one size fits all, and the ones with the thicker steer you just had to wack them in a bit harder. i will give the local bike shop a visit tonight them with forks in hand!
  14. Pm and tell mr bumsong I would be more than happy to help! In all fairness, any engine conversion is possible as long as the engine fits in the engine bay, and when it doesnt, you cut the rear floor out of the car and oput the engine there, so any conversion is possible. But how much work do you want to put into a swap? how much money do you have to spend? If you have what i think you have i have the perfect idea glad you got one in the end mate!
  15. I have been riding since 2001 and have always carried work out on my own bikes and NEVER come across a problem even slightly similar to this! I am currently running a front disc set up on my mod, i got the front brake and front hub built up but had fallen short of some forks with a disc mount. I then swapped my forks for a pair of onza forks, i think they came standard on the T-comp/T-mag. Anyway, the forks didnt come with a star nut, I managed to get my hands on one and when i came to fit it there was a good 2mm gap all the way around the starnut and the inner steer tube. The forks fitted in the headtube of my bike fine and there was no problems there, the thickness of the steer on the forks didnt look to thin but the starnut just did not fit unill it fel 3/4 of the way down the steer before it stopped and was solid... Now why the hell is this happening? the star nut looks the right size, but it just doesnt fit in the steer at all! i have bodged it seriously shodily by welding a small steel plate in the steer drilling a hole and welding a nut on the top, which isnt the best idea in the world but it works! Is this a common problem? I thought all star nuts fited in all forks!
  16. surely you can jsut go and steal some! its not technicaly stealing... your taking what isnt being used! Most places give them away because there is a charge to have them removed! i cam into your area the other day and i see loads of places where you could get them from!
  17. stealing is the key! Pallets are pretty hard to come by but i know there is a place on brentwood that sells them as they were advertising them at a demo i rode in a while ago. Go to your local shops and go into your loading bays, thats how i got all of my old ones, I ended up with about 12 of them and 2 big cotton reels which i got from my local electrical suppliers. i wouldnt recoment you drving in there as they will get your plates and will chase you up about it, man power is the way to do it! Also if you go to your local orchards you can get bit boxxes which are like 1 meter deep and 1.5mtr wide which make a great addition to any trials corse but weigh a f**king ton but are possible to carry!
  18. noice bike there buddy! shame i havent built mine up yet its driving me mad! What do you think of that bar and stem combo because it is exactly what i am wanting to use, havent seen many people using that combo!

the angle you had your bars at the other day looked damn fine Mike! it looked like it would have rode superb!
  20. hey, well recently i posted about my wheel trouble and the fact it was built by a blind fingerless monkey with parkingsons. so i whipped it apart put it back and its fine now. the rim its built on is nice and straight but all beaten up, so i want to take the rim off, give it a paint and put it back on. This is where i hit my problem! When i go to do the crossing of the spokes i always end up putting nastyly huge scratches in my rim, i am doing it less now but i am felxing the spoke a fair bit which i am pretty sure i shouldnt be doing! Could anyone tell me why this is happening? Is there some thing wrong with my build technique? first of all i thought i was tightning the spokes to tight so i started putting the nipples on two full turns, the recomended average on build guides is 3 which is what i was doing so in theory the wheel should be slacker and easier to move about and avoid rim scratching. but this didnt work! So any advice and suggestions would be good!
  21. a good friend also suffer really bad from this and its some pretty nasty shit! Wilko foam grips, bit on the chunky side but they do the job, £2 a set with bar ends haha!
  22. I stopped riding a few years ago, and i recently got a new bike, only been riding probably not even 2 weeks now (due to not having a bike for about a month! ) but now i feel as though i am riding possibly better than i was before, maybe not going as big but my riding quality seems to be better. i may not be going as big but my technique seems to have got a lot more solid which has given me the confidance to do things which are bigger. For example there was a gap i used to look at when i rode, it wasnt majorly big but it was over a set of stairs, i used to try it and failed miseribly every time i tried, but because i had made my riding technique better and i was not as sketchy i managed to do the gap first time! personaly my problem is gap drops to rails, and just drops, i hate them so much i will try to do the gap backwards IE gap up 2ft than go down! purely because i hate them! I dont have a problem with sidehoping stuff or backwheeling stuff, as i mean you faf that up your going to fall what 50" absoloute max! your not going to do to mych damage faling that height! where as drop gaps from 6ft+ up and 8ft whatever out to a rail can cause some damage! thats where i have my problem haha! So my advice would be, practive your technique and get to a comfortable level of riding on your bike, this will then give you the confidance to try some thing bigger and you will over look the "that will be painfull" thought you get in your mind and it will be overtaken by "That would be mega if i could gap from there onto that rail!" Also dont compare yourself to other riders. I used to try and keep up with the riding standards of my mates i was just messing almost everything up which i tried so when i started riding with better riders i was just on my arse all the time over the stupidest things! If you are trying your best to side hop 30" and your mates going 50" who gives a mellon, your riding, enjoy it! hope thats of some help to you mate!
