  1. I thought longer frames were more stable on two wheels, if you have shorter chain stays your centre of gravity os more over the rear wheel, which should make it easyier on the rear wheel. thats my theroy lol
  2. I was under the impression that short frames with short chainstays and high bb's made it more stable on the back wheel?
  3. They are made by the same company, with almost the same geometrys.
  4. My views exactly, and i loved the way my sky rode. my Akali feels good, but there is just something special about how the Koxx rides.
  5. Cheers for the heads up. Anyone else?
  6. Hello, im debating to buy some trials shoes, is there a noticable differance in peddle grip and feel with them to justify the price. Also, any recomendations? Cheers
  7. Sunday is probably bes for me too mate.
  8. I have an sl, water bled with braided hoses, its so much more powerful it flexes my frame with a built in booster. it feels really good now i bought an additional booster. no prolems wit it at all. I did get it cheap though, i wouldnt of bought one new.
  9. One day this weekend me and a few others are going up barrow farm. Who else is riding there this weekend.
  10. Hello Luke, this is a bike pic thread, there is another thread for you to introduce yourself on.
  11. If you havnt rode it dont say anything about it! simple. let the people who own one. Who exactly told you they ride horrible?
  12. I think it is a lot easyier to learn with 20" wheels, but thats just me. check out tartybikes.com to see geos. Generally, a short chain stay with high bb is good on the the rear wheel, longer chain stays with low bb's are more stable on two wheels.
  13. I would like to add, take your time with the drops, dont rush and make sure your relaxed.
  14. first can you use a standard jump bike frame? Yes, you could do trials on any bike with good brakes, its just not ideal and would be harder to learn. and i have noticed that if they have a v-brake it is on the back, can you put one on front and back Yes you can, a lot of people do, a decent set work well and are light. also can i use 26" wheels, and if i do will i be able to do the kind of things the 'pros' do after a lot of practice Yes you can, after lots and lots of practice. last question: i am using rigid forks but i have 2 types in my arsenal a bit like these two: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/eXotic-JUMP-CREATURE-Carbon-Dirt-Street-Fork-40-5cm-/200506533667?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item2eaf1ee723 and http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GT-Rigid-Fork-Disc-mounts-1-1-8th-steerer-/170531847316?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item27b47d7c94 which style should i use? I dont know which ones you should use, but again the geos are probably not ideal for trials.
  15. How far is essex from you mate?
  16. You heard wrong. I personally prefere my rockman to everything else ive owned. but it does depend what you ride, its not a street frame so wouldnt take the abuse the echo would. If you ride comps or natural it is excellent.
