thanks to dave, that was like an educated mans way of saying what i wanted to say. lol. wain, i was not being bias, the people i was refering to were the people that rode, regardless of whether they are mates of mine or not, i was just listing them. i think the bottom of the problem was, the cost, a new show that didnt need to loose a load of money, so things were just a bit on the smaller side to see if it could work for next time. belive me many international riders were invited, but as they replied with thier price (as all pro's would, thats not a dig) the organisers budjet just would not stretch. basically i think this was a taster of trials for the new organisers, they liked the taste, so lets hope that next year they will have enuf money to order the full menu, lol, dont know how food came to be the example, i must be hungry or somthing! rob.

I rode this weekend, and let me just say, we all worked very hard to make the best of the limited area/ obsticals we had. this was the first year of the new show, and as such they were just sort of testing the water, It went down well with the organisers, so it means next year can be much bigger and better. As for the top name's coments, a bit harsh dont you think, Tuni, best street rider i ever saw in ten years of riding, Slinger, one of only two people ever to win 20" and 26" world champs in the same day ever and previouse biu world champ. Dan B, euro champ, previous word number2, previous top 5 world ranking, and is consistantly competitive in world cup finals. Ash B, the most successfull rider of his age in the country, and realy good to have a rider that younger members of the audience can relate to, allso did a great job promoting the show on kids tv. Thats just the main riders, others like ali and stan have top comp results and make popular vids that the forum users love, andrai, the beard, a world master level rider and a profeshional demo rider that puts on shows most weekends. All the mental bmx syle street guy's must love danny mac, he is a nutter and i have never seen anyone mix in bmx tricks so much with trial, wich for a show, goes down really well. and then for the rest of us that rode, well lets face it, to an average joe, that ride's xc or dh or dirt, any trials rider of a good level is gonna look impresive! i think its good that, young riders like ash get to ride, its good for young lads that visit the show to see that even at a young age they can reach a good standard of riding. its all well and good them seeing a 20 odd year old bloke leraping around. but somone of there own age they can relate to, ask questions about riding , and see that it is posible at thier age. as for the lack of top "pro" riders, well we dont realy have any in this country anymore, and i think most of the international riders, where either pre booked (for exaple i know kenny is in japan) or its just not practicall cost wise for them to attend. rob

dan, i did say if you bought it down to the shop , i would properly tap the bb shell and fit your bb for the bargain price of £5, thats cheap mate, most bike shops would be around £15, but you know i love you baby! bring it down today, and stop pissing around. rob o yer, a f**k halfords man, you need a bike shop, where they know what they are doing. halfords = clueless

was shocking weather all weekend, it pissed down for the quallification on friday. the top 11 qualified for the semi. i finished 12, wich i think is the worst posible place only a few dabs off is worse than being a mile away i think. the finals were pretty spectacular, carlos diaz and dany comas are beast on 20 and giaco can wheely hop the planet on 26 (took me ages to teach him!) lol! we allso did a round of the catalan cup on sunday, a petty easy comp, and those of us that were not pissing around doing 360 to pressups and catchin fire did well, dan fost ben second and the beard 3rd. the spanish guy's had bottom lips out every where. lol well now im back in sunny england, caught hepertitus from the planes air con, and aids from the scummy fountain we all rode in. i better get back to work. rob

lets not turn this thread into an arguament about bike uk commitee, im sure its somthing you should sort out, out of the public to start! i dont know whats gone. but by the sounds of you two, the commitee is falling out with each other. if they cant get on what chance does the rest of the trials comunity have? i dont see the problem with two sets of rules, i ride both, im not so good at one, but better at another. but i like to ride both. why try and tie them together though? the only reason there has been so much interest in the uci world champs is because they are in scotland. i rode at 2003, 2004, 2005 , could nt afford 2006 as they were the other side of the world. but never had this trouble before. lets hope that if there is a big interest for italy 2008 then we get a more fair chance to quallify! rob

ok sorry , my mistake i must have missed one of the many 5's on there and a 3 when i counted, was pretty out of breath, so sorry for any trouble regarding this insident rob

i wrote them all wayn, but my first one i was at work and the pc is not compatable with the spell checker. dont take kindly to your you tube link wayn? there was always gonna be some one that started with the piontless insults, and just out of interest which one am i then? wana start callin me names wayn then do it to my face, thats not what this thred was about! if i am honest then if there was a world cup round in australier then no i would not go, it would be way too expensive prob's 5 times the cost of any other world cup's actually wayn i cant see anything in your post that has been a helpfull contribution, just mainly there to wind me up and sh1t stir. Roger's post has made things a little more clear to be, as the origonal piont i was trying to raise was that between 3 groups, no one could decide who made the decision. now at least i know why B,C say it was bike trial and bike trial say it was B,C and that the 3rd group was formed to help make the cut. at the end of the day thats the way its happend and it cant be changed, im just saying there must have been a mre fair way of doing it, for example if basing the decision on the world cup's wasent feesable, then why not run a proper uci rules qualification round in this country or somthing. just an idea. rob

no mate, cost's a fortune in diesel to get there and a fortune to get in no doubt, and dont want the atmosphere of being somewhere im not wanted bring on the world cup's is what i say, hopefully they cant spoil them for us. rob
