    My Astravan

ok, i just nipped out to the car park ripped all the interia out of the vito and dropped the engine out of my mate's mr2 turbo in the back, so thats the front wheels been driven by 2.2 turbo diesel at 100 brake and the back by 2 liter turbo petrol at 320 brake, so that makes a 420 bhp vito! man im gonna rip up that nurburg ring! rob ps cant wate for the wrc sprinter to come out!
  2. sorry it seem's i am as good at understanding sentances as i am at working a computer sometimes, there is plenty of potential in the uk, lots of up and cumming rider's , if like other countries they got the support from thier cycling federation im sure the uk could come up with some great riding talen
  3. also, check the star nut in the firks is in right, i have had a few onza's back with the same problem, as you tighten the top pin ot the headset the star nut is pulling up the steerer tube, just a thought. rob.

    19" Tyres

wow i gotta getmaxxis then i will beable to hop much higher! lol for 26" i use kenda kinetics 2.35 single ply stickie thingy on the front, sorry dont know how much it weighs but it grips good and is nice ans sqishie! and on the rear either kenda blue groove or neveagal 2.5 stickie duel ply, agian, very grippy and is very pinch resistant! i have used single ply tyres on the rear before and they just pinch flat, i tryed them because i thought the bounce from them would be better, never even thought of the weight. at the end of the day if you wanna worrie about a few grams of weight in your tyres well then thats up to you, so long as they grip well and dont pinch flat i aint all that worried about the weight of them. say for example in a comp, it gets very muddy some time's you could pick up more weight in mud than you save worrying about a few grams here and there, rob,

    19" Tyres

wow, you realy do have too much time on your hands! think of i this way, if you have 2 maxxis creepy's 19" in your hand then the weight of one is roughly half that! this is assuming that both tyres have the same amount of wear and that there is room for 2 of them in your hand next to your calculator and pair of scales! rob
  10. im so good at computer's i managed to post the same thing twice by accident, i hate bloody computer's they think they'r so dam clever!
  11. the world cup's are amazin wayn, they aint they are only as seriouse as you make them, and letts face it with the likes of beleay, vince, caso, vinco etc ridin it aint exactyl like podiem places are up for grabs! seriously the world cup,s are some of the best events i have ever riden at! rob,
  12. come one guy's i only got 2 days off work and one's gotta be on the bike, my ridin is the worst just latley so need some practice! rob.

    19" Tyres

dude just get i tyre, as if the difference in weight of a tyre will make any difference! rob
  16. if you put the tool on does it sit in the freewheel at all? say 2 or 3 mill even? if it does then use an old rear axel from a mtb wheel or a long bolt that fits through the centre of your crank arm and the tool, fasten a nut at either end using washers to keep them from going inside the crank arm. tighten the two nuts so as the toolis held tightley in place, place the tool in a vive ant then aa big adjustable spanner overyour crank arm (for extra leverage), then just unscrew it. i never failed to get anyone's off this way, however the tool wont even reach a few mm into the freewheel, then it might well be , GAME OVER! Rob.
  17. as with most chains a lot of the strength depends on how well they are joined, i allways use kmc kool on my 26"and and havent snapped one. i keep em on for a year or more too. i recently changed to a half link chain on my 20" think its really good, as strong as the kmc, but with better adjustment for chain tention witch is somthimes a drama on 20", allso it looks pretty too! rob
  18. i been thinking about this today, and is says some where in the post to only apply if you can make it to the final, i dont think there is a british rider that can say they will defo make it to the final. especially of elite. there is just so many world class riders and only 8 places in the final. 8 places and i could probably name 10 riders that i would think are definate's, lol! recent years have even seen the likes of gaicomo coustillier not on the final. so i would have thought just placing well in the qualification sort of top 15 would be a good ride for a uk rider! not tryin to set you all off arguing but its just the way i see it just a case of sending in your form and keeping you fingers crossed i recon! rob
  19. i have to work saturday else mite have been tepted, get a job you bum's! rob

  22. does any one know when the list of riders will be made public? because for the lads that do getpicked accomadation will be very hard to get if not booked pretty soon, its normally hard to get somewhere to stay when the world cup is thereso a full on world championship will be nightmare! just a thought! thanks for any info, rob.
