Idea For My Bike

I was thinking how I could set up my bike differenty and had a few ideas:

26inch wheel at the front 24inch rear. (stock frame)

Normal looking saddle (not mini)

BMX handle bars these uns http://www.bicyclestore.com.au/Sunday-Colo...7-pr-22551.html

Rigid dirtjump forks http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=15679 (strong ones)

Was thinkin of making a trials bike that could be used for jumps and skate parks ,any other ideas?

The geometry will still not be ideal, and making the frame have a slacker headangle and lower BB by putting a 24" tyre on the back wouldn't be a great help to make it agile and flicky for any skatepark-related maneuvres.

Stock body positioning tends to be fairly towards the front, so it'll feel kinda shitty to do dirt jumps on no matter what, really, 'cos if you nose into the landing to land smoothly, it'll feel weird as hell, and almost like you're just going straight over the bars.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is your current bike ?

Having the experience of 24/26, it's not that great, when spinning, you always seem to land on your rear wheel and end up on your ass when doing pedal kicks, mind you I had a really long fork. Also, the BMX bars are overkill, just go for some mtb bars with massive rise. Though high rise bars are really good idea, they spin so much better than long stems, just be sure to twist the bars a bit forward in the stem to have a bit of added reach...

I tried dirt jumping on my zoot, it just wasn't happening at all. Waaay too long. I swapped some of the bits onto a trailstar frame and it's instantly a million times better. You can't get a bike that's good for everything. You can probably get a bike that's mediocre for everything, though.
