where the real men go, i'll be there becoming a motorsport engineer

Is brookes a good place to go?

I'm planning on doing a Motorsport Engineering course in two years time when I leave sixth form. But I really don't know where to go (I'm sure this will all become quite clear after sixth form gives me some info). I've had my mind set on Loughborough as they sold their Motorsport Engineering course quite well but also (and mainly for me) look to have a good rugby team. But obviously Oxford has an astounding rugby team, but I'd imagine they're quite harsh on requirements?

In an ideal world I'd become a proffesional rugby player which is something I really want, and I'm more than willing to let learning suffer for rugby development, and I'm not sure if the sixth form would take kindly to me wanting to pursue childish dreams :P As such, they would probably recomend a good uni for an ME course.

Just wondering on first hand opinions as this seems the best place for me to get them?

As far as I know in terms of facilities and teaching the Motorsport side of things in Brookes is pretty much going to destroy most other places in Britain. But on the other hand that's just what I've heard, not from personal experience. I also know nothing of their Rugby team, apart from they act like a load of homosexuals at bars. But it's a nice University to go to, as long as you don't have to make the missions detours to Harcourt or Wheatley everyday, but again (as far as I know) the Motorsport classes are taught in Gipsy Lane, which is the main campus. It's a minor walk away from the main town, which is cool in terms of shopping and socialising, as well as a Carling academy if you are into listening to bent music. Furthermore, the Brookes bus service is pretty f**king awesome, aswell as a good train network and 24/7 buses to London if you are that way inclined.

If you do plan on coming here the only recommendation I would have is to try and get into either Clive Booth halls because it's pretty nice for Uni accommodation, or you could go to that other more expensive one that I forget the name of, but you would essentially be living with a load of posh c**ts. Just avoid Crescent Halls, Wheatley Halls and Harcourt Hill halls like the plague.
