Gripper Pedal Innovation Or Not...

Don't know if this idea has been tried before but the grip is amazing. I basically used two wide strips of halford grip tape (very course grip tape) and cut the shape of the pedal, carefully drilled holes where the pins would sit and just stuck it on with the aid of superglue (

I have no idea what they were, but my old platforms had a little bit of griptape on them in the middle, wasn't really enough to make a noticeable difference but it's a good idea

Ride them for a bit and see how they work out, there might be a reason nobody does it. But if it works for you, then fair play (Y)

looks like a quite good idea

but surely u'd be better buying pedals with adjustable pins and gett longer pins (8mm instead of 5mm) or grippy shoes :)

The idea was generally a cheap alternative for those who afford, or justify buying FiveTen shoes, or better pedals. My mate tony was complaining about being able to twist his feet the platform surface, hense the idea of the grip tape.

Sure it will wear down over time, and is practically useless in wet condition, but its cheap and fairly easy to do. Just be sure to to use as much of the tape as you can as opposed to just cutting little pieces and just sticking them on because it doesn't work. I found that out the hard way with my first attempt.
