I basically used two wide strips of halford grip tape (very course grip tape) and cut the shape of the pedal, carefully drilled holes where the pins would sit and just stuck it on with the aid of superglue ( Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

PeanuckleJive Posted August 2, 2010 Report Share Posted August 2, 2010 I have no idea what they were, but my old platforms had a little bit of griptape on them in the middle, wasn't really enough to make a noticeable difference but it's a good idea Ride them for a bit and see how they work out, there might be a reason nobody does it. My mate tony was complaining about being able to twist his feet the platform surface, hense the idea of the grip tape. Sure it will wear down over time, and is practically useless in wet condition, but its cheap and fairly easy to do. Just be sure to to use as much of the tape as you can as opposed to just cutting little pieces and just sticking them on because it doesn't work. I found that out the hard way with my first attempt.
