Spec:

Frame: Born Ultimatum

Fork: Neon Curved blade, i have cutted off the disc brake mount.

Frontwheel: Echo TR hub/w Ti screws, Sapim spokes, Stans ZTR 355 rim

Rearwheel: Because screw on hub, Sapim spokes, Trialtech SL

Crank: Rocman 175mm

Bottombracket: Reset Ti with Echo Alu bolts

Bashring: Trialtech Halfring Alu

Freewheel: Echo Ti

Pedals: Echo SL Ti

Frontbrake: Avid SD SL with ti bolts, Nokon Alu wire, Some Tnn v-pads

Rearbrake: Magura Hs33, Echo TR brakeclamps, Echo SL lever, Tnn Coust Pads

Reartyre: Continental mountainking Supersonic

Frontyre: Schwalbe Furious Fred

Tubes: Continental supersonic

Stem: Trialtech Forged High Rise

Handlebar: Born Carbonfibre

Headset: Neon with alloy screw, carbon spacers

Grips: Trialtech Foam

Chain: Trialtech light

Would guess this spec as listed would weigh close too 7500g...Might build it up with the light tyres just to weigh it again.

Its not really usable with the light tyres and tubeless at front..( Mountain king supersonic and furious fred)

Good for sidehops..thats all :)

So at it is now, the updated version at 8070g is the lightest the bike can be, and still be rideable!

Could save some small grams on hubs, rear rim, rear brake, stem, tryall crankarms .. without the bike getting any worse.. Probably 100g or so there.

I have found out that a bike that weigh 8.4-8.8 is perfect, when thinking about riding the thing

Everyone that have tried my bike says " Oh, fook, is this thing really rideable?" at first..then "Hate the frontbrake..."

well thats made me think wether i want one of these, a hydroxx of the slate 2!

That is one nice bike! does it feel flicky? and do you think it would be good for natural riding?

I'm the same, want either a Born, Slate II or FANS.

Worried that the Borns a bit long though?!

This looks very nice though!!

The born does not feel long at all, because of the really slack headangle.

The wheelbase tricks you to think its a long bike, its the reach you really should look at :)

Altough, had a go on a Slate 1 and a Slate 2, and they feel nicer. Lower bb suits me better.

Going to get some better tyres..Bet i ride better with 500-700g heavier tyres on there

Mountain kins are only really decent for the front. My 2.4 was shocking on the rear. Pinched like every 5 mins.

Maxxiss of continental (Y)

Stunning bike though :)

Edit: Mountain king 2.2 /2.0 (however narrow you wish to go) are on of the lightest tyres for the front.
