Ali C Posted January 24, 2011 Report Share Posted January 24, 2011 you can bleed a hope with no bleed kit at all, it's very easy. obviously take the rotor and pads far away from where you are working. Tip the lever so the resivoir is horizontal and remove cap. I'ts also worth stuffing some meths soaked paper towel into the caliper to help reduce the chance of any dot fluid getting in there and getting on the pads in the future. Now all you need to do is undo the bleed nipple on the caliper, pull the lever and while holding the lever pulled, tighten up the bleed nipple, then let go of the lever. you will see the fluid being sucked through the brake. repeat this until no bubbles come out of the caliper (remember to keep the resivoir topped up so it doesnt suck any air in). Once satisfied, fill the resivoir back up and replace cap and diaphram. give the caliper a VERY good clean and make sure it's dry, re-fit pads and it should be properly bled with no air.
