murph82 Posted February 1, 2012 Report Share Posted February 1, 2012 Might be a daft and obvious question but I'm finally finishing off my new 24 the next week or so as I'm well enough to ride again. The question is do cable discs still retain a nice feel if run through the steerer? With hydros it doesn't matter I know but I know the routing on cables effects the feel. I've never ran a cable on the front so can't comment, but if I wanted to find out, for the sake of a couple of minutes i'd certainly give it a go. I can't imagine it making it feel any worse. Carlperkins Posted February 1, 2012 Report Share Posted February 1, 2012 yeah i ran a bb5 through the headset. basically just make sure you have a decent cable, a £2 cable from halfords wont be very good. and make sure you have a nice amount of cable from the lever to the top cap, don't run it tight.
