I normally use grease for any metal to metal contact..

Lithium grease should be used when lubricant is required, for threads copper slip is advisable since it's just to "get it on" if that's the best way to say it..

Sorry if that made no sense.. it's a little late and i'm tired :wink2:

you can use lithium grease on threads, but copper grease shouldn't be used where lithium is more appropriate.. ie you shouldn't put copper grease on say an axle..

A lad told me today that cottage cheese, has better lubrication and anti seize properties than anything else on sale today. I trust him as well, he did win the seniors at national level this year :)
