Ankle Braces

Hey there, a few weeks ago I rolled my ankle on the bike, then again running up stairs, then again last night where I fell down a flight while drunk. (N)

I've got a cheap £10 one from a local sports shop for now. But it doesn't really restrain the ankle at all. I want to be able to wear it while doing trials, any recommendations? I've seen a lot of these worn at comps so I'm sure there's probably a favored brace for trials?

After breaking my ankle I was recommended one of these http://www.physioroom.com/product/Aircast_AirSport_Ankle_Brace/3121/36224.html and I'm glad I got it. Rolled my ankle when filming my GET2 vid and whilst it hurt like hell for hours after I'm pretty certain that if I hadn't had my support on it would have easily snapped again!

Ahh that looks good, when I was told to look at aircast I was looking at these. Lucky you had them on then. ;)

Last year the bike pushed down on my leg, and the ankle made a massive click. I couldn't walk for about a day but I'm not sure what it was, probably just a sprain.

Supports aren't the be all and end all. Better of doing strengthening exercises so it doesn't roll.

I will be doing strengthening exercises, but I want a support as well. Because... Well, it supports.

I have wanted some for my self for a while, but never got round to getting them.

Those will only stop crank rub I think, thanks though dude. :)

Nobody else got a 2nd opinion on the brace that Dave (isitafox) shared?

Oh :/

Yeah, if you look at the one Dave linked you can see that there's a strap that goes round the foot/ankle and stirrups to prevent movement. I've had crank rub before and I think what you linked would definitely help a bit.

got any links to some then.. i rolled my ankle at addingham this year and cracked it and done some ligament damage, Ive been riding alot lately and the support has saved me more than a few times.
