Ben Mckenzie - Bringing down the house. About College grads who learn to card count and make $$$ from Las Vegas casinos. Cool Book 8 / 10. Shawshank Redemption - Stephen King The story of a man who is wrongly accused and sentanced for allegedly murdering his wife. It follows his story through prison and his eventual escape 10/10 awesome book! Keep it goin please im running outa material >_< Hopefully everyone will find this useful! will. Picked this via a recommendation on the Howies site and I can only mirror what they said "Read this and never shopped in a supermarket again". Nineteen Eighty Four by George Orwell. Best book that has ever graced the English language by one of the best authors to ever live. Everyone should read that book. Pretty much anything by Philip K Dick, although probably the best ones to read are A Scanner Darkly (soon to be a cool looking animated movie) or Time out of joint. PKD stands alongside Orwell as my favourite author. He was a master of paranoid, disturbed literature with more expertly crafted layers of conspiracy than... well pretty much anything else. I've also been quite into Robert Heinlein recently, although he can be a little hit and miss. His stand out achievement is probably Starship Troopers, which is an excellent novel from so many different angles (just try to ignore the piece of crap movie with the same name). A non-fiction book by an aussie backpacker, telling the true story of an english man who ended up in the notorius San Pedro jail in Bolivia. I thought this was a brilliant book and I found it impossible to believe some of the goings on in this jail. Drugs, corruptness, violence and more. He did Timeline About a group of scientists who travel back in time to investigate a archiological dig in realtime! its a good read! Bryson is a cool author always pretty funny and relaxed reading! It's meant to be an adult/kids series and it is amazing. The use of language, description and character depth is second-to-none :lol: Also, if you can, read Hemmingway's Essential short stories.
