  1. Just to note, if you have a MIDI keyboard with a usb port you don't need to plug it into the midi port...you'd be harder pushed to find a MIDI keyboard without USB these days than vice versa. If you can stretch to a nicer audio interface then do (this is great for the price: clickage), the Audiophile series aren't really worth the money, even at that low price.

    Benefits

Well actually, yes. The number of twats who rely on the benefits system instead of actively trying to get work far outweighs the number of people who genuinely need it.
  3. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=carbon+fibre+cloth Well that was difficult.
  4. Yeah me and my missus had the munchies and ate a shit load of cheese and crackers before bed and she woke me up at 4:30am cause she'd woken up and thought i had been decapitated
  5. If you're after some over-ear ones, get the Sennheiser HD238s. Gorgeous sounding headphones, very transparent and detailed.
  6. It's great to be with my mates again to be honest, and I don't need money to have a good time with them as we hang around and chillax rather than go out. I'm missing my girlfriend though, met her at uni and want to see her! She's coming to stay next week though, wahey!
  7. The girl i'm seeing was diagnosed with swine flu on Tuesday and it's just like normal flu. Hasn't stopped me getting on that shit, and I feel fine.
  8. You'll have to give a urine sample for chlamydia and gonorrhoea, a swab for herpes and a blood test for the rest.
  9. If you're earning £15k/year on the dot, only £9 is taken out of your pay per month. My eldest brother earns £23k/year and is paying £30/month.
  10. You should be able to download each song to 5 different computers via your iTunes account. Although now everything is iTunes Plus, it should be limit free.
  11. Use MP4, it's pretty small and not too lossy.
  12. Yeah, it's expensive stuff. I can imagine though that a commercial pilot that flies a lot doesn't really spend much time at home, and hotels/food/etc are paid for by whoever you're flying for, so you end up keeping much more of your pay than your average job. Can't take too long to break even if you fly a lot.
  13. If you're not going to learn to fly through the forces, start saving now A P-P-L is around £14k, and a CPL (inc P-P-L) comes up to about £50k...
  14. Send me your e-mail and i'll send you a Demonoid invite Bongo.
  15. I attended this year, and it was awesome I spent the entire time baked off of my face, good times were had! It got f*cking freezing but it was well worth it!
  16. Haha yep, it's totally destroyed now, along with that AAX on the right hand side, although that's been replaced with a K Custom so i'm being a little more careful now... If you're looking for a starter kit, just get whatever really. The only things that differ between 'Rock' kits and 'Jazz' kits are the shell dimensions. When you're starting out all you're going to want is something to hit, so don't even worry about kit sizes yet.
  17. om nom nom I've been playing for 9 years I used to have rubber car mats cut to size on the drums and cymbals, but i chucked them away and my parents got used to the noise. You could always improve the sound absorption in the room you play the drums in. An easy solution is to put a spare mattress in front of the door and hang a thick duvet over it. If you've got double glazing then a duvet won't improve the window isolation much. You could hang carpet samples on the walls too, but that's getting a bit out of the 'bodge' range of things to do
  18. Shark, crocodile and kangaroo. Pretty tasty actually!
  19. I use an Acer Aspire One, with a 1.66Ghz Atom, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive etc. I'm currently installing OSX on it
