Anyway the quote from norwichunion was £2006.89 p.a. Is this too expensive or reasonable, i have no knowledge in this area. I am 17 by the way, if this affects pricing. Is there anywhere cheaper? If you're 17, car insurance is expensive, the end. You should be able to get it for less than that, but not by a whole lot. Maybe £1500? I'm no expert though. the666ers Posted June 1, 2005 Report Share Posted June 1, 2005 Diesels nowadays have fairly decent torque so they pull well, hence most vans being diesel as they are both economical and good for pulling loads. The trouble is as soon as you hit 70mph they run out of breath and will be shite. I guarantee most 1.3's will be quicker is they're petrol, just the way the engines are. The only people I've found who accept that some people drive vans without running a business. My minivan had quotes of the £2k mark for TPFT, CIS sorted me out fully comp for about £900. Cheapest I've found for vans. You'll probably have to actually phone them and explain the situation though. Online quote's often miss the mark.
