loved the detialing on that frame..... it was in an old mbuk.. wierd frame, it had a valve to pump gas (possibly helium :- ) in to the tubing that was meant to stop dents :S

I highly doubt it would stop it denting.

Anyone ever seen one?

davetrials could use one. after all that denting just shove 100psi in it so it returns to its original shape :P

I'd rather be given a DP reach-around by Shabaz and the gay Canadian on Big Brother than have to answer a TF topic about downtube pressures.

Really.

Thinking about it i highly doubt that air pressure in the frame would stop it from denting,

you can still dent say, a sealed pringles tube?

Yeah, pringles tubes are pressurized aren't they

A pringles tube would be the same as a normal frame because there is no pressurized air inside it. The frame we are talking about is PRESSURIZED, like an areosol can for example, which are much harder to dent than a pringles tube.

Yeah but its sealed and the first sealed tube that i could think of... most frame downtubes to my knowlege are not sealed they have some kind of vent hole, syntace claim that by using cold forging they can avoid this and make a sealed frame.

Ive just been experimenting with a sealed bottle and when you hit it hard it dents...

Its at atmospheric pressure...

I think that it will still dent, as it will deform the frame somewhere else when the air inside moves around
