Unlocking Phones

Code? Is there somewhere on the phone you can type a number and it will be available to any network.

Oh and another question, is there any damage or loss with unlocking your phone or will it be EXACTLY the same as it was but just with the ability to have any Sim card?

Cheers, Rorz!

on certain phones, mostly outdated nokias, then yes. not that useful if were all sporting the latest handsets, but mighty handy when said handset gets dropped in a pint glass accidentally, then you go and get an old one from the cupboard under the stairs, only to realise you changed networks since then.
