not good

Helpfull (Y)

In my opinion i wouldn't touch them with a barge pole,

First of all i think they dont realy ride like a 26 inch trails bike, Not realy responsive , it rides like a XC bike,

And it wieghs a Meteric tonne.

I mean if its realy cheap get one but, i realy wouldent splash out on one any time soon (ever)

and also looks like poop with realy bad couler co-ordination

Hope ive helped

i used to own one and it wasnt to bad, the only thing wrong was i had the habbit of snapping bbs on it doing small drops.

It was nice to bunny hop and manual but going up on it was a bit of a nightmare because there was no frame clearance (Y)

I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that a lot of riders are gutless and useless. The wisest thing MBUK ever said was that any good trials rider should be able to make any bike sit and beg. The T-raptor is outdated, but certainly not hard to ride, they handle well and suit shorter riders. The weight of the bike is dependant on the build, the frame itself is around 4.5 pounds so not heavy by any stretch of the imagination. If anything, the close relationship to a cross country frame will make for any easy learning curve. You wont win championships on it (I'm not sure wether Akrigg ever did but it certainly didnt seem to hold him down much), but it'll do you for a year or two. Provided it isnt knackered, £170 quid isnt bad. You may want a new back wheel after a while, and a new chain as soon as you get it for safety's sake

Very good point but i personaly thing they are cr*p. My mate has one and he progressed a bit to start but now he is finding it seroiusly hard. He thinks it is because of the fact that the frame is bent but it may just be him. Me and his brother both have straight frames and have found it so much easier to progress. He has not been riding as long as us but when we had been riding as long we could do more on straight frames. It is a matter of opinion though if you want to get it ask if you can have a little ride of it first to see if you like it. Not the best frame ever in my opinion though.

Adam.

my first trials bike was the t-raptor if its the 05 version it should be reinforced so it wont snap easily

as to the ride obviously its not as good as more expensive frames but id say it does a good job of

easing you into trials easy to bunnyhop, manual etc and is reasonable on the back wheel

i dont think a t-raptor would hold you back until you start trying quite advanced moves and even then its

still doable on it. Personally i learnt to tap on mine and i dont think having a different frame would have

made any difference to my ability

They will be one of lightest frames out.

IMO they ride pretty well with a good spec. I think they have a similar geomatary as woodstock.

They are abit weak but will do you for a couple of years if your a begginer.
