  1. I'll be there . Are people meeting at the crown courts again? - Seems like a good place as it's close to the station.
  2. Maybe 10 foot - but that's on my freeride bike to a sloping landing. On my trials bike it's about head height. I don't really see the point in doing rediculous drops, if it goes wrong you could really get hurt or perhaps that is the point
  3. I've had a 2nd hand Tryall rim for a couple of weeks and it seems fine. It's done several drops and gaps & I'm trying to gap further so I'm not very smooth with the landings, but it's held up ok so far. It's better than my onld Onza full fat rim anyway, the extra width seems to make it more stable and less prone to pinch flats. Cheers
  4. I'm using Kona gloves at the moment but they really don't seem to las very long, I always seem to get a hole in my left palm (of the glove).
  5. That's great, I'll probably get the super pro's then as I don't quite trust my 2nd hand tensiles . Thanks Guys
  6. I'm thinking of getting some Middleburn RS7 Super Pro Trials (ISIS) cranks. or maybe Middleburn RS7 Pro Trials (ISIS). Does anyone have any opinions on either of these cranks? Cheers
  7. Nice bike, I like the red grips Is your front wheel still true ? (after Kris put it back into shape)
  8. I think older people should ride trials, although it is mainly done by teenagers and young adults. I think it's a cultural thing as trials hasn't been around all that long (I know it's been around in europe for a while). I don't see why people in their 50's & 60's shouldn't ride trials. Ok as you get older injury is more of a problem but I don't think trials is any more dangerous than you make it. I bet Jackie Chan would be good at trials if he did it (he's 50 something). I'm 23 by the way
  9. I get the same problem, but I think my handlebar grips are a bit crap because they are the lock on type that have a layer of hard plastic under the grip. I'll get some new ones soon. When they get bad I wear two pairs of gloves. I don't think my gloves are that great either. Over time they should improve as your hands get tougher. Can anyone recommend some good gloves (non leather) and grips as I'm not sure what to get next. Cheers
  10. I'm after a new video camera preferably mini DV for filming live action (eg. Trials). Can anyone recommend any good ones? I'm particularly interested in getting one with a good zoom control so if you are filming something coming towards the camera you can adjust the zoom speed to follow it. Also a manual focus control is a must and a manual light level control would be nice. Any advice would be great, Cheers
  11. I ride with my left foot foward and sidehop to the left because for me it feels easier this way. I would hop to the side that is most comfortable regardless of what foot you have foward.
  12. Both types of bike come in long and short versions depending on frame choice. So you can get either to suit you. As for what type (mod or stock) no one can really tell you what to get you just need to try them if you can and see what suits you. Personally I would go for stock but that's just my opinion.
  13. I'm flexible on location - I don't mind travelling. Are there any good spots near you ( Coventry?)? Street or natural - I don't mind, love both
  14. Last Saturdays Leicester ride was cool. Is anyone riding nearby this weekend?
  15. I think they were refering to the topic starter
  16. Nice bike, Nasty injury. Did you wear a helmet? Hope you're ok.
  17. I often get way too hot even on cold days
  18. 11 at the station then? Then 11.30 at crown courts ? I'll be there.
  19. I wouldn't mind comming along, I've just got myself an echo pure which needs a good run. Any time on Sat is good for me
  20. That's the first time I've ever seen Trials on TV. I think it's great that there is at least some Trials on mainstream TV. Hopefully there will be more coverage of Trials and the sport will grow
  21. I've used a Gazzalodi (sp!) for a while. It seems pritty good but perhaps a bit prone to pinch flats - but that maybe my rim (onza full fat). cheers
  22. I'm not sure if you're replying to me or not If not then please ignore : I'll most probably be at braken 2:30 ish (but not for definite) so won't be there very long as it closes at 4:00 Cheers
