  1. Sounds good matt. Im realy looking forward to it this year. I'll be riding expert this year, and i know a couple of others who are thinking about it, so that category should be as big a s inter was last year with any luck. Good work dude Rob
  2. I kinda got the impression it was a drop? ah, or maybe a drop gap? i dunno. i'd quite like to see it though.
  3. Some good design work goin on there guys. Especially liking the "welcome/come in". simple but effective. thats what its all about. You guys at uni or what? I ask because im in my final year of a Graphic Design degree at Falmouth College of Arts, and i agree, expecting money for things like that is a bit of a waste of time, you just want to bulk up ur folio really. A close friend of mine has just done a project for channel 4 ideas factory with a budget of 25k and only recieved £400, which is peanuts. should've got 10% at least, but it looks fat in his folio so he aint complaining. Rob ps. at least u lucky buggars have time to do extra design work on the side! damn you! (Y)
  4. Wahey! i run one of these on the front of my bt! well, as you would expect for that price, there are certain faults. the cones have a tendancy to come loose, but only about once every month so you can just keep hand tightening them and they're fine. also, i have the disc version and the flanges are massive. i mean dinner plate size. which looks a bit shitty imo. best pic i've got sorry
  5. ive got the gusset mags and they grip like buggery (Y) only trouble with these styles of pedal is that the cage bit nearest the crank tends to bend and snap off. all four bits are off my pedals after only 9 months Rob
  6. lookin good Bigman! surprisingly neat by your standards. (although saying that your bash was pretty sexwar as well) hmm, mate with a BT eh? roll on the weekend. :)
  7. ironically the cranks are scratched to f**k, but since riding on bigmans course ive got matching red paint off that old escort on them! the rear tyre is a specialised roller dh and is properly the best tyre ive ever used! good wear, fantastic grip and pretty light! and only £20 from halfords!! bargain!
  8. aw c'mon! yeah twas a little retina-seering! im all about the red and white now though :D
  9. the progression of my colour co-ordination. matching plaz brake pads on the giant, hmm, spot the graphic design student..." damn i miss that echo
  10. i like the images, but the typography is pretty weak.
  11. WHOOOP! roll on summer! (or this weekend alternatevely). give it a year and it'll be "Nationals, round 8, Bigmans joint" :("
  12. hmm. needed more drop gaps. :ermm:"

  19. awesome. they need this kind of profile. top job Mart. (lets just hope CLS rides 26" as well...) Rob ps. you gonna be testing any new bikes this year Mart?
  20. im ashamed to say that this is actually my real hair. That bloody paint took some washing off too. never again. :P" Bit of Queen as well. Just for good measure. (Y) never thought id see my self as "dead gay" (Y) ooh, tasteless joke sorry!
  21. i think its more down to power to weight ratio than anything.
  22. look, this debate is blatantly never gonna be resolved because of difference in musical tastes. and thats cool, each to their own, but... ive been producing hip-hop for a few years now and it sure as hell aint piss easy! Imo hip hop takes just as much time and effort to create as rock or any other "band" based music. Put it this way a rock group can get together plug in their stuff ***, whereas hip hop is much more precise execution. You have to find a a sample which you think would make the BASIS of a tune cut it to length, usually timestrech it to fit a beat, which you have to create, thinking about which snare/hi-hat/kick drum ect sounds right for the song, then you may want to add synths and stuff, which may need effects put on them, so you have to find the right one etc etc. And all of this has to correspond with the mood and feeling of the lyrics! trust me it is a long and lenghthy process. Oh, and we do gigs with live drummers/percussion/female vocals, and thers a shite load of other hip hop groups who do. (check out www.fingathing.com for some downloads, when they gig they use an electric double bass and its awesome!) Anyways thants my rant to try and persuade the narrow minded people on here that hip hop is a little more than just "MIX MIX MIX" people just THINK before you open your mouths  Rob
  23. mavic, in all fairness, (and no offence is meant by this) i think you do begin to appreciate other forms of music when you get a bit older. Rob
  24. well said that man. decent hip hop is just a form of poetry.
