  1. Seems you might be over focused on the task ahead. Try and bring some other tasks into your life, and make them things that are accomplishable so it gives you the sense of achieving that you are not currently getting from college/uni. For me, it might be rock climbing, riding trials, going to the gym, just things that are fun and achievable. Personally I also find I get particularly stressed when I have not got a clear picture of the work I am trying to do. What I will do is try and map out what I am doing and break it into chunks, as then every chunk you complete brings you a step closer to what you are trying to achieve. I could go on, but I think you get the idea. And just try and relax about things too dude. At the end of the day your human, and you can only do your best, the rest is just out of your hands.
  2. Alan's BMX used to sell them, and it says here they still do, though the link doesn't work. Might be an idea to give them a bell.
  3. The simplist thing to do is get another slave piston which has one bolt hole already covered as the bleed hole. Then just have 2 lines, one from each cylinder with a barbed fitting, both going into the barbed fittings of the splitter. Not the cheapest solution mind.
  4. Looking at the bike specs: How's that work then?
  5. You can get a pretty good set up without a grind, I run rock greens in CNC backings on a smooth rim and they work perfectly. The downside is that riding in the rain is an absolute no-no, unlike with a grind where you brake still works. What I would suggest is keeping the rim smooth and buying some smooth pads and see how you get on. Then if you find the brake is not performing to your satisfaction then change the pads and get a grind. For some, tar adds to the performance of the brake and is simply a lump of roofing tar rubbed on the rim, still has the disadvantage of not working in the rain and a lot of people believe it is more hassle than it is worth. While I have never done it, grinding a rim is not as drastic as it sounds, and your rim will still last a fair old while and take quite a few grinds.
  6. Looks good man! Glad you got it ok, and it didn't exactly take you long to get it built up!
  7. Thats random! I just got a message on fb from my brother to watch this. Thing is my brother lives in Australia and doesnt know I'm into trials!
  8. If your cog is shark toothed it could be causing the cain to skip, look and see if the teeth look like sharks teeth, if so, buy a new cog. If your running a rear cog that is 14T (maybe) or 13T or 12T and you are running a single wheel tensioner then you might not be getting enough chain rap (i.e. the chain is not over sufficient teeth on the rear cog to prevent it skipping). How old is your chain? They stretch in time so may be causing it to jump over the cog. If you chain is old think about getting a new chain. Check the tension you are getting from your tensioner. It may not be adequate. This may particularly be the case if it is unsprung and slipped. Make sure that the chain is the correct width for the cog and visa versa. Cant think of anything else off the top of my head Night!
  9. Havn't read the whole thread but would be suprised if he has already been mentioned: Sven Hassel - Not in print anymore so you have to track them down on ebay or 2nd book shops (hours of fun! Christ, I need to get out more!). He was a German Soldier in the 2nd world war in a penal battalion (i.e. sentanced to serve). Very cool books from an unexpected point of view.
  10. I'm suprised this has not cropped up already:
  11. If we are talking rally heros then put me down for a Stratos: but if were talking childhood fantasy car, Bugatti EB110 for me please:
  12. I have an et24 with the cable routed through the steerer of a set of echo controls. You will need one of these and depending on the forks that you are running you may need to ground down the star nut so that it fits down the head tube.
  13. The five people that have something wrong with them will just pollute the gene pool if they dont die, and so just create a bigger burden in the future. Besides, how long do people get once they have transplants? Certainly not a normal life expectancy, so if your just talking years lived, surly letting the letting the boob job live will be most favourable?
  14. You will probably shoot me down in flames, but think about getting a second hand macbook off ebay. I have bought 2 macs off of ebay now, the first a 800mhz ibook in my second year of uni, which is still going strong 6 years later. The one I have just bought was an old style white macbook, 2 months old, 2.4 ghz, 1 gb ram and 160 hd for £450. I have upgraded it to 4 gb of ram and 320gb for another £100, and I recon it'll last for years and years and years and years......
  15. it was my understanding that MDMA was discovered in the early part of the 20th century by a German pharmaceutical company, then documented as a dietary aid in the mid 20th before becoming a tool for psychotherapy in the late 70's, recreational use in the early 80's before being banned not soon after in the mid 80's. Rabbi Zalman Schachter: “When God saw that people, instead of turning to God, were turning to the medicine cabinet, God made himself available in the medicine cabinet.” Another exert I love is this, which I think is also a wonderful insight into what a lot of us are doing in this very thread: According to an organic chemistry professor who tried a “rhubarb and custard” with his girlfriend, it brings up the waves of euphoria associated with tai chi and other martial arts and practices of deep meditation. But unlike those lifelong practices, it has a “honeymoon period,” feeding on excitement and novelty. After a while, the brain assimilates the MDMA experiences of oneness with the universe, euphoria, and “overwhelming feelings of well-being,” and starts to get cranky. People start to compare their early, “perfect” trips with their later ones. However wonderful it felt, that feeling goes away, and you have to start the search for a new quick fix, a happier happy pill, or else you face a “crushing disappointment.” Yes, there are police breaking up the rave, and yes, there are ever tougher laws banning “spiritual” or mind-altering drugs. But the real end of the party comes from within. Jaded anyone?
  16. Your not really considering how easy it is to get alcohol poisoning. Plus, anyone stupid enough to take four pills every 10 minutes deserves exactly what they are going to get. Beside that the small death rate due to e compared to alcohol suggests that alcohol is a hell of a lot more dangerous than pills. Your argument suggests to me the need for education (not for you, but in general) into the affects of drugs rather than 14 years in prison for possession. PLUS WHERE IS THE QUEUE FOR THE CRACK? SIGN ME UP BUDDY!!!

    Would You...

Loose a cock and gain a fanny? best argument for cock instead of arm so far, especially if I get puppies to play with too!
  19. According to the article "Maximum penalty for possession is 14 years in prison. For supply, life in prison. You can get an unlimited fine for both" This made me chuckle: Ian Johnston, president of the association, told the BBC: "This is not some academic or scientific exercise, this is dealing with people's lives." It just this kind of emotionally charged drivel that prevents rational debate. I wonder of how many of those deaths could have been preventable with a) proper knowldge of the risks and what to do/not to do drugs not produced in squaller and cut with shite The whole analogy of horse riding/trials riding and taking e is a bit shady because of the effect illegality may have on how lethal e might be. While you could certainly die due to trials or horse riding, it may not be MDMA in itself that caused these deaths. It may not be the lethality of the substance, but the lack of knowledge and a fear of getting caught that caused the deaths, which are both a direct result of the law and not necessarily the affects of MDMA.

    Would You...

You could also ejaculate through walls. Seems the choice has become no arm or a cyber-cock powered super hero. Still rather loose an arm though, some chicks dig amputees.
  21. After giving it thought with my brain actually in my head today, and having watched http://www.hopegb.com/page_mep_force_37.html, I agree, your boned. Email/ring hope, don't risk buggering it up anyfurther, just speak to them then you'll probably have to send it off.
  22. If it is the correct side could try a chain whip to hold the hub. Although I think it would only work for one side and I cant figure out which sitting in front of a computer at work!
  23. I heading off to Meribel on Saturday, I found the holiday through a company called DirectSki.com, who I found by looking up the ATOL number of the holiday company found on lastminute.com. I got flights, transfers, ski carrage, lift pass and insurance for £390, although the hotel is meant to be a bit of a dive! If your flexible when/where you go just look for deals on lastminute, there are some cheap offers about!
