Continental Danny MacAskill Air King Tyre
Ross McArthur replied to Sam Nichols's topic in Trials Chat
Looking at Dannys many media updates, he loves to ride in the rain. So I dont think you'll have a problem with grip when it comes to wet conditions. Just dont expect them to stick like shit to bed sheets on marble after a down pour. You do know you're not allowed to run only one of those tyres? It has to be a pair. The big fat baldy bast*rd with the beard who works for Conti will come in the night and tie your legs in a knot round your head if you dont. -
Continental Danny MacAskill Air King Tyre

I don't mean to cause offence but at your level of riding, no, you won’t notice too much of a difference. Their durometer reading on TB is 55a compared to the 50a of the Maxxis super tacky, so on paper, no, it’s not as grippy but there’s so many factors which can determine how grippy your tyre is going to be and how well it will perform. Pressure, rim width, wear, etc. have to be considered. In most cases it’s down to the rider. An elite rider could find grip on a Maxx Pro compound where a beginner couldn’t on a Slow Reezay. As for needing nobs on your tyre for natural, it depends on a few things. The Air Kings are going to be best suited to boulders/rocks with rounded and soft edges. Sharp and right angled rocks require nobly tyres. They're also better for when it’s muddy. -
Enjoyed the natural stuff over the street riding. Massive and tech.

Exactly what I was going to say.

Boys, he's a TROLL!!! He knows he cant run that gearing as those bikes dont run a sprung tensioner. Get it yet??
-
He's a dick but hes not stupid. He knows you can't run a 22:12 on a frame specifically designed to run 22:15/16.

I was on a private bus in Bristol City Centre last week when the driver overtook a guy on a bike. The driver sat behind him for a while, then passed him when it was safe, giving him loads of room. The cyclist started waving his arms and shouting. The bus stopped at the lights and I already knew what was going to happen. The cyclist had a go-pro strapped to his £10 Tesco helmet, came right up to the drivers window, shouting, "you nearly ran me over there! I have it all on camera you know, I can have you arrested bla bla". He was a right geeky looking cu*t, greasy hair and milk bottle glasses. Made me ashamed to be a cyclist.

You've been TROLLED!

Try taking the sting out of those spinning drops by focusing on landing on the back wheel first. The technique of landing two wheels is fine if you are carrying a bit of speed forwards (not down). Liking the look of the Skye with the white rims and blue stem. Post a few pics of it up on here!

Had a 10 mile ride on it last night. Feels decent. Once the bar tape and rear pads are on I'm sure it'll be even better. Think ill move the hoods up the bars a little too to shorten the reach.

How to decide if you should quit your job or not?
Ross McArthur replied to Jake.'s topic in Chit Chat
I think he means you should be ashamed of not having a mortgage, career and 2.4 children. God forbid you're happy with who you are, eh? -

That graphic looks like it took a lot of hard work. The spokes not going over the brake calipers, fork and chain stay let it down a little. The front caliper could come down a bit too. Looks like you might have a stiff link. -
Govans not local

Because I'm in the same boat.

Stuart will be in Italy living it up in a vineyard. Bens a lost cause...

Yea up here we call that the "wee man syndrome". I dont know much about roady stuffs but I do see the lo-pro similarities. My mate (fixie famous)Tim Pulleyn has one. He has custom paint job forks to go with it. Very swish.

Why would I take offence to being asked if I was short? I'm around 5'8-5'9. Its a 54 with a 90mm stem. Not had a proper go on it but so far it feels fine to stand on with the reach on the bars and pedals. I think its maybe becuase it has quite a small head tube? Most modern road frames have longer integrated headtubes which make the frames look bigger. (like Toms B-Twin (even if it is bigger in the first place)) Its actually a TT bike. Beggers cant be choosers.
