    blah

    From the album: Sam's gallery!

  2. Must be something to do with the material used to make the engagements. A bulb is designed really for Dh/Freeride type stuff - which means strong wheel builds and tough axles etc WHEREAS kings are pretty much all rounders BUT they obviously make the ratchets dead strong for thr rigours of trials use. ALSO the fact that there are so many engagements on a CK mean that you don't get so much power into the stroke before it engages. With a bulb it takes a wee while to engage so you get the full power of the kick slamming into one of the engagments. Does that make any sense? Man this is difficult to word :S
  3. Front wheel looks the dogs :P
  4. Hmmmm. That looks familiar...
  5. Taken straight from the site Sam... Features: Front hub is convertible from bolt in to quick release to 20mm through axle Large flanges help build a stiff wheel Strong enough for downhill, light enough for cross country Silent hubs don't scare any wildlife Zero backlash for technical riding Disk brake hubs compatible with the most popular disk rotors Completely sealed from the elements Little to no maintenance Available in through axle versions for more rigid wheels Made in USA
  6. Sounds good. Would be interesting to have a look at the internals. One thing that worries me is the possibility of slipping, surely if it works on a clutch system there is more chance of slippage? I may be totally wrong, I'm only thinking of experience with setting up clutches on RC cars when i used to race them.... cheers, sam
  7. The simpsons. (homer, bart, maggy, marge) How many engagements does a Chris King classic hub have?

  16. Lie on your tummy. Put your hands flat on the floor level with your head, get comfortable. Then use your arms to push yourself upwards and back so that your stretching your back into an upside down arch shape. Do this about 5-10 times very hour or so. Works for me
  17. in my opinion nothing works better than a well maintained avid ultimate with plazmatic pads and linear slik cables  The only advantage that i have found with discs is that you can still ride fine if your wheels buckled.
  18. If it's white, it's allright - If it's black, take it back! :D He jokes :P
  19. hehe, you use too much text talk :P TEXT TALK = GAY :P  :D :P
  20. Hows it going so far Will? Have you got any pics of what you've done so far etc? What type of frame are you making btw? Street? UCI? Mod? etc etc Sambo
  21. Just experiment really. Personally I'd say between 20 and 30 psi. But obviously it depends on your style etc. Your pic shows you riding street.. sooo probably 25 30 ish? It's a tough call. I ride street and run 30 psi as a guide. I'm doing rails and rail gaps etc BUT not huge ones... if theres a particular big rail gap you want to try maybe you should lower your psi especially for it. It's all about experimentation  P.S. Zebber looks sweet
  22. i was thinking the same thing actually! I know james talks gay on msn but normally his TF posts are nowt like this... hmm a conspiracy
