All well and good until you reach one of those hill things. So many abandoned cars on the hill up to my house this morning. Which was fair enough, even a lot of 4x4s were struggling. Although there are a lot of retards out on the roads it's not really fair to compare with France, Germany etc as they are way more prepared, public transport/ most people have winter tyres etc. It's so rare here that everyone goes mental. Anyway, got 9 inches here, measured and everything. This was the view out my window this morning
  5. This is Dan Ko's one R8 came up on a google search for it. There are some pics on here somewhere but i couldn't find them. For all those who can't read and haven't realised this is nothing to do with him, the pictures of the horrible crash show it is also clearly a left hand drive car with foreign plates.
  6. Welcome to 1995.. And yes, they're awesome, the old strawberry with orange choco balls one was amazing too, where has that gone?
  7. Mmmm, would be good to know what happened to him, i remember there was a video with him in with over my head by sum41 as the song that i must have watched about a million times. I remember he used to massive bunnyhops. Ah found it! they're all in the related videos bit.
  8. Trials-Forum Video -> Full View • Download • Upload And check out Phil Feeney, loads on youtube. Eg Tim pratt sections from like TM2, Get1 etc were well good. And other John Shrewsbury stuff. And Fred Judd. Just i can't find much at the moment, have a hunt round.
  9. There are a few spots yeah, mainly just ledges and loading bays and stuff, nothing too exciting, good for a few hours though. Just go from the skatepark and hunt around from like Sainsbury's direction, some nice ledges outside sainsburys except you get moved on very quick then go onwards then across town behind the highstreet and there are some loading bays and stuff, then near the cinema and 3 there is some other bits.
  10. Yeah he would do actually, he hasn't used it for years. If you're interested send me a pm and i'll talk to him.
  11. For a start there is one lying in my friends shed, in pretty much perfect condition bar a few scratches. So no, that is not true.
  12. In brief the shorter the board the less edge you will have so you will notice it is easier to spin and move around but less easy to hold your weight up when your carving at speed and stopping and shiz. However, unless you are about 9ft tall and weigh 47 tonnes then a 157 will be fine. 165 boards are massive and no fun at all as you can't move it around at all. Basically yep, the 157 will be fine, and probably more fun anyway. All boards are different though and it depends what you're using it for, ie a shorter board will be nicer for park, longer nicer for all mountain, then there are issues like flex and stance etc so it's not all down to length, I've been snowboarding 10 years and done a season, so any other questions fire away. Edit: If you're looking at buying one then i have found that 159 is a nice length for everything really, obviously depending on your height etc, i'm 6ft and have a 156 at the moment and although it's really good fun in the park etc i do find it harder to go fast on than my old 159, just seems much more twitchy.
  13. Alright, back at uni again and i'm determined to actually find some more people to ride with this year. So if anyone lives in Southampton or Eastleigh type way and is up for riding let me know as i'm after some people to ride with in the evenings and stuff. Cheers guys.
  14. That is how all 'magic' works, of course he didn't actually predict the lottery but i'm sure he did something fairly intelligent in order to "cheat" and "lie" his way into making people think that he did..Some people seem to enjoy rubbishing people who they feel are deceiving them or who they do not understand. I've thought the events things have been a bit disappointing mainly because they involve far too much hype and preamble, but having seen him live he is definitely very talented at what he does. I do agree though that the way he did the lottery thing was so jumbled and seemingly pointless it got a bit tiring. But i don't think he would have done a split screen thing...that would have been far too simple, anyone could do that.
  15. That was awesome! Moving camera seemed to make everything flow really well, reflected a really nice atmosphere too. Nice work.
  16. Ah my friend used to have an old ac team, was so much fun, also love those metas, guy i know has one that i used to ride to the shops, one of those bikes that just seems to want to be pedaled fast. Here are my two, i ended up with 2 as the glory came up really cheap on ebay and was too good to miss, i'm not sure which to sell though. Haven't got any pictures that are just bike, so this is the Giant Glory And this is the Ancillotti Tomasso DHP
  17. Yeah, the un marked stuff in Les Arcs was so good, i reckon it was the only place we could have spent more time at as we just kept discovering more and more, i will definitely be heading back there. Another thing we found with moving away from Morzine was how amazing the weather was, the trails were SO dusty, i made a nice little dust cloud in deux alpes Yeah to be fair fort bill is probably the only place..except that's the other extreme in distance. Cwm Carn is always fun for a bit but that has the problem of only one track. I really don't mind, i think UK bikepark is a really good place, and nice and close to me, it's just i almost think it's more worth while just pushing up that epic push up path.
  18. Ah nice, just got back from a roadtrip round Europe, finally decided to get away from the portes du soleil after far too many years of Morzine. Some of the secret/walkers path stuff in Les Arcs was amazing, especially under the pipes down to bourg, really steep and tech. We managed to do it on the cheap, 2 weeks, camping in 6 different resorts, ferry, tolls, petrol and lift passes came to £450...we even managed to eat out twice..bonus! Did the mega this year...most knackering thing ever..especially on a giant glory..the videos don't show you that a massive section of it is uphill and on road...longest downhill race is a bit of a con. I reckon a tf uplift day somewhere would be good...trouble with UK bike park, apart from being right at the bottom of England is the runs seem really really short when you are uplifting, makes you really realise how small the hill actually is.
  19. Saw him live a couple of months ago and it was absolutely incredible. A lot of people do find him irritating though and i can understand why, but in my opinion he is a very intelligent man who clearly works very hard at what he does, all magic or tricks of the mind are in essence fake...it's just a way of deceiving people, but it still involves a lot of skill and knowledge.
  20. Love exploring abandoned places, used to do it loads, lots of old factories and stuff, we even built a few skateparks and ramps. Did you ever go to the courtroom in Aylesbury Dan? There are loads of massive old factories and warehouses in Wycombe to explore. One of the coolest things was finding a flood tunnel under a park near me, we noticed there was a weird bump in the middle of the park and went into the woods and found the entrance to a tiny little tunnel, was like 3 foot high, went and got torches and crawled along it, which in hindsight was pretty mental as it was a stupidly long way to crawl/if anything had happened no one would have a clue where we were. But yeah anyway, in the end we just emerged in the trees at the back of an old ladies garden, which she seemed pretty shocked by, so we claimed we were looking for a novelty sized tennis ball and had climbed over to look, so she let us out her front door, which was lucky, cos there was no way i was going to go back in the tunnel and the wall was actually massive. You can see the line of the tunnel in this pic, right down the the park on the left with a big circle in it at one point. You can see the raised outline of it on Google Maps I'd be well up for exploring these scary woods with you though Dan.

Frame looks too small to be a Judge i think. The seat tube was quite long on them. Might be like a mk2 judge or something. Mystical.
  24. Looks awesome, liking the colour, ah the days when everyone had a levelboss or a zebdi and people thought 1065 was insanely long. I would probs whack some pedals which didn't look like they weighed the same as a small house on, but that's just me. Nice.
