I've got a friend with a 1.8k series clubman who seems intrested in tagging along for the weekend too. So what's the list of people who are definately up for it soo far?

Fair enough, just would be nice going down in a car I know WILL make it there and back that's all, I'm sure my diesel can't be worse than 25 mpg towing which is what I get in the mini.

Im up for it, does anyone know the legalities of towing over there? ie i don't have a towing license and im only in my third year of driving. A friend might be able to lend me a trailer, so i was wondering if i was towing it with an appropriate vehicle like my daily ( a 2 litre 406 estate), with the mini strapped down correctly the right trailer board and lights etc, would it be ok to tow it over? depsite me not technically being allowed to tow over here? would be soo much easier if i could.

Sounds good Nick. i think ill put up with the more frequent fuel stop, high revving and unreliability and give it a bash. The ferry, is that 60per car and a bit extra for a passenger, or 60 per person etc?

Nick, I need to quiz you on something, ide like to think that my mini with my sus aligned and a bit of tidying up would be bit of a laugh to take around the ring, BUT would you recommend the trip in a mini when the rest of the people are traveling down in normal sensibalish cars. and what did you do about breakdown cover? ide atchully really be up for this.

All the building on the beach is all finished..... has been for quite a while, its pretty awsome now. Decent spots are the cobb wall, Marine parade, some walls by the marine parade. And all the rocks by the town clock. and while your by the rocks keep walking towards charnmouth way and there is some more funky stuff.
