  1. Found these on fleabay.. they are black though http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261990149729?_trksid=p2060353.m1431.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  2. After having a Marino many moons ago and seeing his work.. I had a sneaky peak at his website to see what is what. Having literally no understanding of the different materials he uses, I wanted to ask the TF collective a bit about them and their pro's and con's over one another (excluding the $130 price difference). Cheers, Brett

    Errrrr

Has anyone seen this ha ha!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2015-Santa-Cruz-V10-650b-27-5-Cc-Downhill-Mountain-Bicycle-Amazing-Cool-Wow/291503973062?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D30774%26meid%3De844a42017fb49f69af134d9eb0f442c%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D221812747613&rt=nc
  4. Not selling it, just making people aware that this is out there.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ashton-Justice-trials-bike-jump-bike-mens-ladies-not-mountain-bike-/171786940695?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27ff4cb117 Half decent spec and sub £300 so could make someone happy
  5. Make sure you update this with how it rides etc.. be interesting to see
  6. It is absolutely doable, as Ross pointed out Edd Tongue did it on his Pashley.. though as an everyday rider you are going to be knackered on 24"
  7. I've not tried it, but surely there's just a whole number of reasons that this is a bad idea. A few that spring to mind... Geometry - If you think about it, the frame is designed to have optimal wheel sizing and fork lengths etc.. by sticking smaller wheels on it, I can imagine that the geometry and feel of the bike are going to be skewed Brake mounting - Rim brakes are a no, they won't line up at all.. disc's you can get away with but that's only if your frame and hubs have the capabilities You are better off saving the pennies and getting yourself a zoot or some something that has been specifically designed to take 24" wheels perhaps?
  8. Yeah this is true, Pashleys were an unusual fork and the rake seemed insane. But still tempted to find a set and try and relive the challenge of using them! Nice, will keep that in mind.
  9. Looking at building a retro rig and after some opinions.. For those that rode the Leeson Clear 660 XL, what set up of fork / stem / bar dos you find most suited for you? I had one a few years back with the traditional pashleys and a high rise 90mm stem and it felt gash. Cheers, Brett
  10. http://free-du.t-com.hr/trials/frames.html this states its a 2.35..
  11. Beast of the East - Not sure what happened with the paint job though http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CANNONDALE-BEAST-OF-THE-EAST-16in-FRAME-ASHTON-TRIALS-FORKS-/141639981520?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item20fa6699d0

Now that is awesome!! Bike Envy as I always wanted the mark 1, had a 2/3 and a Diamondback but never the 1
  15. I like this thread, so i'm Brett - 31 and have been in and out of riding trials since I was 14/15 (so a 90's boy). Personally, sod it, if the body is willing and the mind is able, then keep going.. I am 32 in July and currently building a 24" bike and planning on getting a new DH bike later as well. So it will be a year of keep riding cool bikes badly! Over the years I have been in and out of love with the sport, but I always keep coming back and I love the huge increase on people rebuilding older style rigs. Makes me reminisce over the days when baggy jeans, beanies (instead of a helmet) and key chains were an acceptable part of trials fashion, when square taper cranks were being removed with a crank puller and a 5p piece, when Armstrong cranks that flexed were fine and when a trials frame was 12" /14" seat tube... I could keep going I digress, keep riding until you can't do it then hang up your wheels and get involved in something like fly fishing
  16. Just spotted this... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Signature-Martyn-Ashton-Cannondale-Trials-Frame-/221669852072?pt=UK_Health_Beauty_Fragrances_Women_s_Fragrances_PP&hash=item339c8d83a8 Wow!! That is a huge price

No intention of going mad with this one.. just the parts around the frame so if it is as bad as the other WIP's I will drop in a Marino instead
