  1. hope pro 2's are freeride hubs and can take whatever you give them if they are set up correctly. p.s make sure u dont get the bolt through 1's by accident (unless thats what u want ).
  2. ZOO! anyday - ive got some and they really improve the feel. i have no experience of echo bars but i know that ZOO! wont let u down!
  3. odi's are excellent grips. the lock-on feature is the best around as it doesnt damage ur bars and is always secure. they work well gloved and gloveless. i was love the odi rogue's - they're nice and fat with lots cusioning to reduce impacts on the wrist. the only downside is the price, usually about £16. p.s. make sure u buy the 1's with the lock-on rings included.
  4. dont know how u managed to break it i four hours.... new are just as good as old and i find them much more comfy. new tpa is nicely placed and not ugly anymore, can go stiff though if u get dirt in it.
  5. gutted... but at least he was doin wat he loved when it happened
  6. not any rubber will work it'll have to be a compound thats very similar to existing pads. p.s use LOTS of super glue or the rubber will get ripped off
  7. the balancing with the front wheel up on a bench is good for improving balance. learning to get the wheel up onto higher benches and then getting down again(without taking feet off pedals) is also useful i found.
  8. i dont think disks offer any power advantage over rim brakes. your modulation would be better, but nothing locks like a magura. the problems with using a rear disk for trials are that it puts a greater stress on the seat stays and there's the possibillity of landing on the disk. you may also notice more flex in the bike as you brake. overall, if your rim brakes are working properly then upgrading to discs would be very costly for little/no improvement (you may even make your bike feels worse). if i were you i would spend the money on other parts of the bike where you'll really notice the difference.
  9. thx for the help guys
  10. hi, ive just tried my freinds t-pro with his new bars and stem and the difference is incerdible when compared to mine. i like his zoo! bars but the echo stem feels a little too low for me and so i was wondering whether anyone could suggest a high stem for about £30-35. also, does anybody know the length and degrees of the original t-pro stem please? any help would be much appreciated.
  11. ive had a pair of julies on my mountain bike and they work v.well. im not sure if they'd be that great for trials though.
