  1. He would have had to close down his internet connection for that to happen wouldnt he? ( and your right, its incredibly unlikely)
  2. do you mean the crank bolt? if so you could try using some loctite on it.

  4. The hone will be strong enough but they are way heavier than a hope. As said before the hope pro 2 is an excellent choice.
  5. no, im afraid they arent disk mounts.
  6. They are compatible with try-all freewheels
  7. yes. you need a bb with enough length on it to fit the freewheel. about 127/128mm is enough. If you find the bottom bracket you want then post it on here, someone will tell you if it will fit.
  8. the last post was a while ago but if it's still going to happen i'll probably turn up post more ifo when you have it.
  9. The answer to your first question is yes, and that is what i would recommend because it is relatively inexpensive and will be better because you havent done it yourself before. For pads i think that heatsink are a good choice and that is what i use myself ( the 'snowy' or 'blue' ones ) if the link below doesnt work then go to www.heatsinkbikes.com. (make sure you select the worldwide delivery option if you live outside the UK) http://www.heatsinkbikes.com/?p=brakepads
  10. That fork is a sound choice and will fit with the components you have chosen. i dont have much experience with hope trials brakes but if you want to save some money then i suggest the avid ball bearing disk brake. its great value for money and with a bit of fiddling about and setting up it will be as good, or better than, the hope. the hub is another good choice, however it is always best to have a whole new wheel built if possible. And also im not sure whether the hope has the same number of spokes as your current rim, if not you would definitely need a new wheel. if im wrong about any of this then someone please correct me p.s you will probably need a quick release skewer for your hub( unless you have one already). Ted.
  11. I have had 3 pairs of v8's on diferent bikes and never have i had this problem. take them back to the shop as soon as possible and get a new pair. It may be that they just need bedding. But its best to get a new pair, and not risk the shop not taking them back after you've scratched them a bit.
  12. When you say green echo cranks i guess you mean the echo cnc'd ones. Yes they are good cranks. Infact, ive just ordered a pair for myself in gold For bars you can't go wrong with the ZOO! riser bars. They will also come in green to fit your colour scheme
  13. i think he was just trying to get things started best place ive ridden is woking in surrey. theres a great park there with all sorts of ledges... shame i live 4 hours drive away
  14. ive ridden the arch rivals on my riding buddy's mtb. for mountain biking they are probly the best vees. however, they have no way near the power of maggies and they will slip alot when you put lots of pressure on them ( e.g. backhops). As far as vees go the avid's are some of the best but trust me they're not designed, or for that matter any good, as trials brakes . maggies are worth the effort
  15. i dont have any better riders in my area (that i know of) so that site helps me alot.
  16. hehehehehhe someones got too much time on their hand methinks.
  17. for some strange reason i always feel like riding when im hungry . or whenever im bored ill just go out for a hop around i wonder how i would ride when im hungry AND bored...
  18. have a look at the echo lite forks. they are light, strong enough and look nice. the 07 ones have just come out so if you look about you might find a reduced price 06.
  19. i doubt anyone will buy it with a grind unless they do trials. before i started doing trials there was no way id buy a hub with loads of scratches on it
  20. then order a qr 1! i was merely warning you that there were different types of bolts
