  1. theory really isnt as hard as you think, yeah revise but dont get worked up about it. passed theory and practical first time and had 20 lessons , i then did pass plus.i got my first car saturday,a x reg escort van 1.8td insurance is only £1060
  2. if you take the time to set up the brake proper;y and have patience whilst it beds in it'll easily perform alongside hydraulic brakes costing twice as much.mines powerful enough to stop the wheel dead at 20mph or so(not that i recomend doing that ) my setup is a old style bb7,standard rotor and pads, clarks cables and a avid fr5 lever
  3. keep up the good work, and wear a helmit
  4. i dont advis using a simtra bar,it feels really bad ,as if your using a straight peice of scalfold pole
  5. try some spacers under your stem if you want to lift the front end a bit higher cheaper than a new bar and stem combo
  6. what pads are you running ?i bet its the pads thats causing the lack of brake power
  7. im using shimano xt pads on my 24,i dont run a grind as my bikes not really set-up for riding trials ,and im finding these pads pretty good so i recomend them for the front,as for the rear plaz pads or maybe inspired pads
  8. i think that combo would look better,in my opinion a wheel looks better when there built with black spokes
  9. it does,i wasnt aware of the differance in grip rill after i was using the tire never mind
  10. its easy ,try all on the front, and either a echo front or echo rear rim built to a back wheel . steve
  11. i've found the white try-all's to have a longer wear life than black ones ,but this does mean the grip is less than the blacks but its still enough grip for most things . steve
  12. went to brf offroad coarse, didnt get too much driving done really but ened up with a lot of work to bedone to the trucks we went down 1st slope following our mate once we started the coarse and at the bottom we winched some bloke out, then carried on following our mate along the track. he went over a slope leaving us stuck the over side ,so he turned around to winch us out ,whilst doing this he starting smoking well from his exhaust so he turned of his landy, but instead of it stoping it carried on running ! it then shot back picking up its rev's pouring black smoke all over the woodland ,at this stage he jump out as behind him was a lake and a group of trees, and it flew of the side of one tree and squeezed between another ending up parking into the landy i was just in,after a couple of moments of pushing it killed itself. this happened about 11:15,and it took us till 3:50 to get out of the coarse with the help of 3 landys ! i got some pictures i'll get up when i get the chance ,it might be clearer showing you guys what happened rather than telling you. great day lol ,cheers, steve
  13. i use a derailer just as a tensioner, mainly because its cheap and also easy to adjust.to keep it in position im using only a inch or so of outer cable and just enough inner, and i us the barrel adjuster thing to give me the correct line. steve
  14. im suprised owen the bike whore hasnt posted yet,he's had more bikes than brum rides i reckon. my list: sarecen mad,the black bb drop rear disk/vee thing zoo! pitbull o6 simtra inspired fourplay adamant a1 im riding both the inspired and the a1 at the moment, inspired is my favorite just needs some alterations. steve

  16. i have had very simular service through dan at trials-uk as i have had from who-ever answers the phone at tarty bikes
  17. maybe a bit early ,depends on train and if i need a 2nd breakfast
  18. as the brakes have been removed from your old frame they probably aren't set-up in a identical position as they were,so they need to bed them in to their new position on your simtra, just give it a few rides and it should get better. steve
  19. all bolts and spacers included?if so sounds like the deal is on any other offers?im after two more boosters, shimano or salsa boosters preferably. should be good tomorrow, just a bit cold like last years one
