  1. when i had a mission freehub...i took the freehub apart, and took out the bearing preload rings ( the things that stop the outer bearing race crushing the bearings. I then tightened this up so the freehub couldn't freewheel at all, thus turning it into a fixed hub.
  2. kenda nevegal stick-e compound?
  3. yep that gold bit in the middle is the lockring. I just use a screwdriver to knock it round tight.
  4. erm, is that any better than the rubber currently used in any way?
  5. 1010 is fine for your size i reckon, maybe a lil small but certainly ridable. The cranks are okay on stock, but i wouldn't even consider using them on a mod.....
  6. wire brush sounds like a plan....imgonan try that tomorrow morning thanks BJH
  7. erm should feel pretty good, koxx forxx are light, although not hugely strong in my experience. I would say its probably better than the stock monty fork though.
  8. older tensiles are friggin amazing...love mine, soo good, and fairly easy to maintain when necessary.... to quote someone off here " try-alls skip like a school-girl on crack"
  9. smear gritty mud on the rotor...ride it whilst dragging the brake, rinse and repeat. As for the SD lever, the lower it is the more leverage the lever blade exerts, and the more spongy the brake feels, the higher, and the stiffer and less power you get out of it due to it being closer to the fulcrum
  10. Ask Kieran Whitefield, Darren McAllister, Bigman etc...they've all had extremely fast wearing pads
  11. the price is pretty appalling, over £50 a tyre is ridiculous, but aren't maxxis planning to follow suit? Makes Kena nevegals seem like quite a bargain.....
  12. depends on his size and what he feels comfortable on to be fair...although id always go for the t-pro if im honest
  13. can;t go worng with a t-pro or zona zip...only downside to the zip is the weight, but wwith a reasonable build you can get it to a decent weight fairly easily.
  14. The brakes fairly lighht in itself, lacks the hold of the trial version due to the smaller caliper piston size used. I used one for a bit and wasnt impressed, although this was due in part to shoddy setup.
  15. odyssey linear slic....does the job just fine for me
  16. sounds like sticky pistons? polish them with autosol and lube them with dot fluid....or for bets results ask muel, as he's a bit of a hope wizard as far as i can make out
  17. That's an ozna t-pro if im not mistaken
  18. also chuffing expensive due to the tolerances involved?
  19. ill try, erm, i think i might be able to get them after the ride for you?
  20. dont use an allen key, use a torx head, like a disc brake rotor bolt they work better.
  21. screw on burns, and you've got possibly the best crankset ever invented
  22. Really don't like urbans. They're so damn flexy, although ive olyl ever tried them on a stock. Zoo! forks are certainly far stiffer in my experience
  23. looks fooking mint, same bar and stem combo i run on't zoot......
