  2. ive got some vee urbans at the moment...... one of my mates has got a 160mm rotor with an 08 caliper but it doesnt really give enough power... So, the consencus is a 180/185 rotor then?
  3. Just a quick question....i know loads of people run this setup...but is there a high risk of snapping my forks? i mean, would it be worth sacrificing a tiny bit of power and going for a 185 rotor instead? thanks, alex

  5. id say 220mm on back...180 up front....but even then id prefer a well setup up magura with koxx browns ( but thats just me )

  10. friend of mine has a white tryall rim....used it for getting on for 2 years now with some onza citrus's...brake is mint and paint shows no sign of wearing through Urbans may look a little odd on the monty...just whack em on and see; i say

  18. right.,..you need a vice; a sharp knife, 3mm allen key, 5mm allen key, 4mm allen key, lube of some sort, some rubber, 8mm spanner Remove the damaged crossover from the brake with an 8mm spanner. No cut the barbs out of the plastic hosing. Measure the old crossover and cut it with a sharp knife to ensure a clean cut. Now clamp the hosing in s avice eith the rubber around it to avoid crushing the pipe. leave around 1.5cm of pipe showing out of the vice. Now put a drop / dab of lube on the barb ( i use washing up liquid ) and proceed to tap it gently into the clamped hosing. repeat for the other side. Now refit the crossover....wind out the tpa ( bolt sticking out of the blade that pokes the piston ) and take out both bleed bolts. Now ... Either use a syringe and some mineral oil ( either royal blood or citroen clutch fluid )......in this case attach the syringe and pipe to the master cylinder wioth the use of another barb and a apiece of pipe or do a bath bleed.......immerse the whole brake int he bath ensuring the bleed bolts are under water. Now, cover the bleed bolt at the lever, pump the lever, release and then at the same time release your finger off the bleed hole.....repeat around 40 times to ensure a good bleed. Now; refit both bleed bolts and thighten them. Note; as your asking how to bleed your brake i can assume you've got an oil bleed int here.....in which case if you wnat to bleed with water you should first remove as much oil as possible from the syetm ( i personally run a tap therough the sytem )
  19. might try this; got a spare steerer tube kicking round.....
  20. fook knows then...ive sorted loads out that way
  21. really tempted to spray my zenith this colour.... but red wheels and blue / fluro hm
  22. bleed it, hold one side of the brake so the piston can't extend, apply oil to the (other) lazy piston........repeat and it should have solved your problem sounds liek the piston is getting jammed in the lever......take the blade and tpa off, and all the hoses and bleed screws, now get a 2mm allen key, poke it in the bleed screw hole until the piston pushes out; clean the piston and inside of the lever body; reassemble and rebleed
  23. i loved the 07 pure one of the nicest bikes ive ever ridden...perfect geo IMO
