Lovely shots there... action shots are especially nice.

Us over 40's are really enjoying it... but we don't do big drop offs!! ... not on purpose anyway!
-
Yes he has the answer is.... old. see here http://www.r2wtrials.co.uk/html_files/teamogc.html

It's ok... except someone has put the brakes on around the wrong way!!! send it to me and i will cure that for you....
-
Knew i had the picture somewhere... mate of mine restores and sells bits for Fantic motorcycle trials bikes, on his stand at the classic show a couple of years ago he had a Fantic Biketrial model. ... really wouldn't trust those brakes

Pads: Rock Pads (Blue) Time used: ~2 hours Rim used: planet-x bmf Grind: Medium Brake used: Rear Magura HS-33, oil Booster: RB 4bolt What is your opinion of a working brake: Bite and hold.. shit loads How do they compare to previous pads you have used: They are the best I've tried so far, as good as plaz crm's on V's and seem to be fine in the wet as well Light grind and just replaced the v's with maggies (with an adamant cnc lever)... TartyBikes delivered Rock Blues and they are brilliant. I am running a booster, and a very fine touch of tar and get a nice squeak and by feck do they lock up!! Been riding in the rain today and no change, work perfectly.

You want a nice Pitbull mate
-
Very nice... looks an ideal place to ride, in the summer!
-
Really nice...
-
Just had that choice myself... Adam at Tarty's explained that they have had no problems with either but the Echo's may be slightly heavier. I went for them anyway , as i am slightly heavier!!!

Is It Me Or Have Classifieds Been Really Quiet Lately?

... and christmas is rapidly approaching. At least my Mortgage has just gone down by 1.5% -
Cheers.. Right then, here we are. Adamant A2 with new Echo forged cranks, Echo rockring, Trialtech screw on gear, Rear maggie with RB booster and red Adamant cnc lever.. wider rims fitted front and back and Carbon bars. Hope mini front brake and Echo Hifi forks... Got to say another huge thanks to Adam at TartyBikes for advice and extremely quick delivery on the parts. The service i have had from them all up there has been nothing but perfect. ... and yes the tyres will be changed soon to high rollers!!! Also i will have the rohloff tensioner back on again soon. we brought that car for the lad, his test is this week. Most expensive bike stand i have ever purchased
-
that'll teach me for mucking about with new stuff!! ... I have a magura on the back now with a nice red cnc'd adamant lever blade and new hoses, only trouble is that i have now found out that the Middleburn rs-hd's are straight blades and therefore hit the bloody maggie pistons!!!!!! (with a 128mm BB) Feck! Thanks to Adam again at Tarty's i now have the bits on the way to go Echo cranks and smaller gears back and front... the added benefit being that my chain will be well away from the tubes now, and i can go back to Isis.. but I gave my Rohloff tensioner away last week... !!

There are people out there who like to have the bikes for old times sake but at present there doesn't seem to be much value... But if you can find one, or someone that has one... try and ride them. Feel so bad compared to what we ride now. What's worse is that when i was kid and doing motorcycle trials on bloody great Bultaco's and Montesa's i used to go up the woods and ride sections on my Raleigh Chopper !!!
-
About 6 years ago i was at a mates house and his neighbour brought a Fantic cycle out of his shed, it was about 20 years old then i think!.... after 15 minutes of trying to ride it i gave it back !!!!
-
1992 will be before many of you lot were born i reckon.... i was 27 I had been riding motorcycle trials for 20 years by the time this video was made....
-
so Maxxis are the ones to go for these days... i seem to remember Michelin comp 24's being ok a while back?
-
Very nice... now this is what you want to go with it....
-
The maxxis Larsons look like they would be good on rocks?... any views from anyone on them. Around 20 quid each is not bad either.

Sorry if i am visiting old ground here but I have looked through the FAQ's for a section on tyre choice and the only one is several years old now... obviously there has been loads of new tyres released on the market and i wanted views on those suitable. So what are your thoughts on the best 26" tyres for trials, old and new... i ride rocks and a bit of concrete and will be some other slippery natural stuff when i learn to ride well enough (if ever..!) give me your views and reasons and perhaps even a budget choice. Cheers

Although not my choice for colours i have to say that it is nice to have something a bit different. And i can see it perhaps attracting some youngsters to have at least a look and maybe they will decide to see what all this trials lark is about.. I had an email from Martyn today, part of which says ..."These are images of my bikes not the production ones so the parts will be more affordable on the complete bikes. They do give an idea of the team designs though." .. i do know from speaking to him that the geo is different and he has been playing around with different frame lengths etc... also the rear disc mount has appeared inside the rear triangle as he said back at the local show when we last spoke. I believe it is a good idea to perhaps keep the price a bit lower to attract newer riders into trying something that is a proper trials bike instead of just a small mtb. And as hinted in the sarcastic comments above, something Martyn is very good at is getting trials out there and spreading the word. He was part of the duo that first enabled the public to see biketrials instead of it being only for the few.

TonyB from this forum has had a call from his missus to say that all his bikes have been nicked from his garage overnight... he is working away for a couple of days. First thing... keep a look out for a Kona, Marin and of course his BT raven if you are in that west swindon area... and secondly, make sure your bikes are well locked up and alarm protected (or rottweiler protected as well as an alarm in my case!!) When he gets within distance of a PC he will put up the bike details... Cheers.
