  1. i like that front page picture not sure if it is my browsers but a couple of the images at the bottom of the page aren't loading up mate.
  2. I still have the one i used 7 years ago ... and is now on the back of my Echo. Still going strong even with my weight behind it
  3. is it this one... http://www.hopegb.com/voir_PXCAR_image__tgrandeimage_1.html you could always ask for spares prices....
  4. 2006 Echo pure... few bits to change on it this week though. here is how it looks now... http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w18/r2w...ials/purerh.jpg
  5. I have a question... i have a rohloff on mine but fairly lose as i have needed to get the rear wheel out at times. How tight do you guys run the chain... should i shorten the chain so that the tensioner is stretched out under the frame tube reasonably tight or do you run with enough slack to get the wheel out without having to unbolt it or split the chain?
  6. No problems.... teach me biketrials and we will call it a deal Personnel enjoyment is the main thing for us... getting onto a 2 foot high rock feels like a mountain to us and we are pleased. I splatted straight onto a bench and then managed a hop across a very small gap onto another level the other day and it felt like i had just done a world pro section... but on the picture it looks like it really is, piss easy But the feeling of achievement was huge. We are not after being able to drop off buildings or jump 10 foot gaps... just a great few hours out with my mates and a good laugh. At least we give anyone watching a good laugh as well
  7. I have a Hope Mini... great except i would like a bit more instant bit. (because i am a motorcycle trials rider i am used to on or off!) What pads for the Mini has anyone had good results with... some say the EBC reds are the best.
  8. It is right that the older you get the more you think about the pain!! ... for most anyway. I have a slipped disc in my back and have just started riding again on the cycles, it is all in the mind i know but i find it almost impossible to do back hops when off the ground. I can do a couple of foot drop onto a nice wide, flat landing but the idea of dropping off onto something and staying on the back wheel to hop onto something else is just something my brain bottles out of at the moment. Hopefully it will get better!! Strangely i am the one in our group of riders to try the big stuff first on the motorcycle trials bike... Maybe because i have been riding for 35 years and know my limits and ability level. The 4 of us over 40 year olds that ride the cycles together now are happy to start small and see how far we can get... but most of all we are having a laugh. When it stops being fun and becomes serious then is the time we will probably give it up!
  9. right... can't find my vernier but a quick measurement shows.. A=50mm, B=45mm and plate thickness is 5mm give or take a couple of mm the same as above
  10. i'll go out to the garage ... hang on
  11. Brainchild... next time you see him take a baseball bat to his knee's.. and say "that's for making us all look stupid"
  12. Feck me...!!!! who cares if it's trials or bmx or whatever, just bloody skillfull. For sale... ex Macaskill Echo pure. owner now realises he will never be any good!!!
  13. if you haven't seen the full results try .... HERE should open in openoffice or some microsoft shite program
  14. was hoping to have got up to see you guys ride and take some piccies but forgot i had promised a mate a round of golf..!!! I won and had free beers so it worked out ok ... anyone else get any images?
  15. Lovely... i have a soft spot for Sunn as i had 2 of the old team frames in steel.
  16. I had a bright yellow Planet-X rim kicking around so out came the paint stripper and the drill and i laced it on last night.... I have a set of 175mm Tryall cranks on the way to replace the Onza 160mm ones and apart from perhaps bar changing to get comfy and maybe a wider front wheel i am almost done.
  17. Top bloke, and nice to see a steel frame out there The Ashton does have a disc mount... it is tucked between the stay and down tube. The holes were there for it as when i last chatted to Martyn he said an inboard disc mount was going to be fitted.
  18. I am sorry but i haven't been back into this lark to know the names of the riders .... but the guy on the orange Pashley was a top bloke. Stopped to chat to us several times and was passing funny comments mid section whilst he was balanced on the back wheel ready to drop off something big!! Was it Tim? ... fecking funny geezer whatever! And a hell of rider.
  19. and a few from the after trial play session now online... http://s172.photobucket.com/albums/w18/r2w...kwoodsplaytime/
  20. Are the results online anywhere... need to put some names to faces etc
  21. Not sure riding the 4 stroke Sherco did him any favours... thought the 2 stroke suited him well.
  22. sorry... meant to say " as per post in other subject"! For me and Tony it was a right eye opener... we have just taken up riding again and had spent the day playing in a little park in Swindon the day before, and losing about a litre of liquid out of ourselves every 20 minutes!!!! And then we see you guys ride all day without breaking a sweet!! Brilliant to watch and i really want to learn how to do some it now.... just not so far off the ground
  23. Good day out watching you guys ride... tempted to sell the bike now!!! ... 50 images from the event HERE more to sort out from the session after the actual event.
  24. http://s172.photobucket.com/albums/w18/r2w...ookwoodssept08/ some images... photos of the top guys playing silly buggers after the event to come
