  2. I never really ride any more, just got bored and too much Uni work on. One day though craig, one day...
  3. 4411!!! Never thought it would be that high, I thought I had always posted mainly in the trialsy bits...

Errm, dude it's been done. I've also measured it up and it's definately possible. The hub shell is zero dish, but that doesn't mean to so you can't build it with a dish, to move the rim 10mm over to the left requires a tiny difference in the angles of the spokes. You can also take material off both side of the hub, that's how danny swindlehurst's was done, but it makes the disc mount useless.
  5. Craig you're riding again! That place looks great, and the new bikes looking fairly pimp! (Shame about those silly brakes though... )

I've looked into it and measured it up, it can be done, but if you want the disc mount to be usable, you will hit some problems. If the disc mount is to be usable, then you need to take all of the width off the drive shell, which means the flange spacings are on the toss, the wheel would need a 8-10mm dish off to the drive side, which is actually easily doable. Mountain bike wheels have had dishes bigger than that for 20 years, you just need to work out the spoke legnths carefully. It can be done, and if done properly it will last fine. You'd need to lose a bearing from the drive shell by my reckoning, but there are two in there anyway, it'll be fine. The only other problem would be chain line, you won't be left with a lot of adjustment in the sprocket.
  8. I've had about 6 months of being a fat lazy bitch. Started lifting again over the last 3 weeks, just getting warmed up like, this week and last week I've been sticking to my routine as much as I can, and I put 4 lbs on over last week. Doubt I'll keep that up for long though, but I ain't complaining!
  9. How come? Someone else said that they got theirs to 1050. Add T-Pro forks, and it's 1070. They've got some mad stupid rake on them.
  10. It was indeed. I've always fancied another, was probably the most "complete" frame I've ever had, there was literally nothing wrong with it.
  11. You think that's long girls? I had Onza T-Pro forks in mine and a totally dead chain, the maggy mounts were at the end of the adjustment, tilted down towards the rim and they still hung off the edge of the rim a bit! Result? 1070WB...
  12. They're both a piece of piss to bleed to be honest.
  13. This man is a genuine chocolate face. No make up!
  14. The rear maggy does save weight, can't remember roughly how much though. The big difference is the weight distrobution though, it moves a big chunk of weight away from the rear axle, which is good! The only bike I'd get another rear disc on now would be a 24".
  15. It's all them southerners with more money than sense....
  16. You were wrong, it was all proper Top Gear!!! My favourite quote from this series, "Did you shrink that man gypsies?"
  17. Thanks for posting! Shall watch that, as soon as someone posts up the time to skip ahead to.

    Ebay Snipers

I just decide my maximum bid, then wack my bid in right at the end. Although that proved to be a bit silly a few months back, I tried to bid 1.00 on a maggy slave and ended up bidding 100....
  19. Not a clue. Glue of some sort I'd imagine.
  20. I had a set of Pace carbon XC forks cut down to mod legnth. (By the previous owner). I absolutely loved them, but a lot of people who tried them didn't, they were quite flexy, but it was really springy, so once you got used to it it wasn't a problem. They were very light at 670g, (I don't know of any mod forks that light now that last for as long as the carbons have). They're now with their third owner, and must be nearly 3 years old. I wouldn't go for a carbon crown though, mine had forged/cast magnesium dropouts and crown, with some super duper steerer tube, (it was as thin as a steel tube, but it was made from some posh aluminium, like aircraft grade stuff). They didn't work too well on my stock though, they were too short, and the flex was much worse with the bigger wheel and i found it to be too much, so I sold them with my Echo. Here are mine: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....=123188&hl= I'd recommend them for a mod, if you're really smooth. (I wasn't really that smooth, I just couldn't do any front wheel moves).
  21. Hey? Why did you get rid? I thought you went to a Rockman shortly after that? Arn't they like £500?
