  1. Hey Robin, not seen you in ages! Hope you two are ok. Bike looks brilliant, if you're looking to save a bit mroe weight though, I'd lose the bashplate and get a ring instead, and maybe you could save weight on the BB, with Adam you could probably get away with a Crank Brothers Cyan TI. Linky. I'd also look into tyres, I don't know what those ones are, but I'd take them off and weigh them, and see how much could be saved changing them for Try-All Stickys, then you can cut every other side knobbles of the sitckys, I saved 35g when I did my front one.

    Snow

Pah, I'm on me way to 14" arms sunshine. Kinda weedy, but I'm still under 170lbs. Anyway you'd sink with all that extra flab you're lugging around.
  3. Looks really good guys! You ever ridden Hawks Nest near Buxton? I only ever ride there now, dead good mates with the family that live there if you know them?
  4. Search the interweb, see if it's a common problem on that model. Then send it back.
  5. Pffft, quotes are for people who can be arsed. Extra clicks waste valuable LIFE!
  6. None that I've heard of, I've only seen them go at the CS/BB yolk join.

    Snow

Yeh yeh we had 17 feet of snow this morning! Had to swim to the shops! Not easy, but possible.

We've had a bit of shitty powdery wankness which has now frozen into that hard crunchy stuff, which is now melting.
  9. Barely, if the spokes are bowed then the wheel will flap about when you ride. I'd suggest adding a washer under each disc rotor bolt between the rotor and the hub, a washer on the end of the axle then space the caliper until it's lined up., this will effectively move the hub and wheel away from the rotor/caliper.
  10. Hmmm finally a Try-All rear tyre with a thin canvas and sidewall! I wanted that about 2 years ago. What does it weight then Ad come on! I'm gonna guess again... 850g? Should chop some knobbles off it aswell if you ask me, see it you can get it below 7.80kg.
  11. 27mph average? On a fixie? Through london I presume? Not a chance Glen. I know this because a really fast time for a 10 mile time trial is just into the 21min mark, and only a few people my Dad knows can get that. (Anyone heard of Will Wright? Used to ride for Wales? He often gets 21s.)

Of course, doesn't everyone? I'll also be guarding the tree and presents from the Grinch though so I'm killing two birds with one stone.
  13. It has one muscle man 165, and one SR suntour 170. I thought they were 160 and 165, but then I had a think, remembered the SR suntour is 170. Square taper too.
  14. He's running 175mm cranks though, I don't think there's a lighter option? I fancy trying 170s on my mod, but it's not worth any money so I can't be bothered.
  15. Haha, what a legend. - 7.88kg? WTF? When did mods get that light, I've never seen a weight that low since the Dobs!
  16. Adam you're such a whore. What does that little tiny beast weigh? Looks pretty good from the spec, guessing at 8.1-8.3kg?
  17. Just had a likkle idea after looking at the blog, maybe a little promotion/competition? The person to get the 50k order wins a something nice? Might take a while to get close though.
  18. Oooohh, easily my favourite bike of 2009! Way to go out with a bang. I'd have more white on there though, just little stuff like spokes and stem.

    Snow

Am I the only one that's planning to wait up on Christmas eve just to see if it will snow? If it doesn't before hand. Dunno what the weather forcast means, we're getting rain, light snow, sunny, sleet, then sunny again.
  20. Hhhhmmmmm lines of codeeee. Gotta be done for the morning.
  21. Cheers for the idea, but the geo is too close to my Simtra. A Brisa could work, if i could find one in one piece.

    Field Bikes

That's not a field bike, it's a moped... I just use my trials bike for thrashing, old Yamahas are built like tanks, they're made to be slid round muddy fields.
  24. I'm loving all the freshers commenting in here. As I joined, the reign of Pete was ending.
  25. I use it, will never use anything else. I'm wierd though, I always found 18:12 too light on a mod with 158mm cranks. Heavy gearing for the ultimate win.
