Because I have slightly over half a brain. My CPU was £160, is 3.4ghz standard, and can be clocked to 4ghz with relative ease, and because I went for the AMD, it cost about £100-150 less than going i7. I also fancied something new, I've always had Intel and this is a fecking rocket ship. And they run very, very cool, I tested it using Prime95 for an hour, it wouldn't go over 43C at 3.82ghz. I like AMD a lot now though, and it's called the Phenom II 965 Black Edition, which is dead dead cool.
