Pads: Heatsink Yellows is PhatPads backings Time used: 10 minutes Rim used: Atomz (same as Koxx) Grind: Medium, probably 25-50% worn. Previous pads: Neco Yellows, Onza Cirtus, PhatPads in CNC backing Brake used: 09 HS33, GU blade, Metal TPA, Monty Splitter, Echo 2 bolt booster, Tensile Offset Mounts, PhatPads CNC Backings What is your opinion of a working brake: Never slipping hold, instant bite and lock, as quite a lot of noise, but not so much it hurts your ears. Review: They slipped once on me this morning, but they havn't worn into the camber on my rim yet, it's like this (____), the bite was brilliant though and they made the perfect amount of noise for my liking. Doubt I'll use anything else again! I'll re-review them once they've worn into the rim properly and I've had a proper ride on them, but first impressions are they're the best pad I've ever used.

Components You Have Been Thoroughly Pleased With?

Also, my new Heatsink Yellows that just came in the post this morning, how are they so good? They're not even worn in to the camber of the rim yet so the hold isn't amazing, it slipped once in the first 5 minutes of riding, but the bite and the noise is daft! -
Yeh tell me about it, seems only last month.

I'd also like to add my Echo Lite 07 frame (I though it rode slightly nice than the 08 Disc), my old Pace XC forks, they were amazing, all anyone could ever say was, "won't they snap?" "arn't they really flexy?", they were neither. Does my adapter on my 06 Lite count? That was by far the stiffest mount/brake system I ever had, I put so much thought into it, then I got my 08 Lite and it was a much nicer bike all round, but the mount/rear wheel wasn't as stiff. -
It's called bedding in, and there are several ways to do it, I've always found I get best results just by leaving it, but at first they'll be so shite you can't really. You can use mud, just smear it round the rotor and ride around with the brake on for a bit, then wash it all off with a pressure washer/spray hose and let it dry. I'd recommend just using water though, it takes a lot more effort but gives better results, just check a load on, ride around with the brakes dragging, then chuck a load more on and repeat until they're working well enough to just leave them and ride it, you'll soon find they're working brilliantly.

I doubt that, children cost slightly more than bikes you know...

Looking good Nath! I want one so much.

Was I the only kid that thought school was a worth while thing to do with my days? Seeing as I wasn't old enough to work, drive, drink or go to college?

Looking good Jonny! How are you liking riding a Monty? Can't believe how far you can gap on it....

Theres no point in my opinion, there are so many people making them now, theres a pad for everyone! Heatsink do refills for £10 posted, I just bought a set of Yellows to go in my Phatpad backings, hopefully they'll turn out all right.

Ever Bought Something For You Bike And Found It Shit?
Muel replied to Matt Vandart's topic in Trials Chat
I once bought a T-Pro, it cracked in 6 weeks. I got a second hand front Hope Mono Trial off here, it needed a rotor and a bleed aparantly. Bollocks! It needed a rotor, seal kit, lever reach adjuster, pads and bleed. Cost me an extra £30ish to get it sorted! -
Nice vid mate! Danny Mac in training is it?

It's Hamilton though, if they can get the car set-up right I reckon he's in with a good chance, he went from 18th on the grid to 3rd/4th (whichever way you look at it), I know that people crashing and the safety cars bunching everyone up helped, but he still did really well to get that far up in a sub-standard car! If he qualifies well next Saturday he should do well. Everything best comes from South Manchester.

http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2009/3/9098.html Woop! Such a tense few last laps, same time next week?

Theres loads of places all over the UK, just look on google maps around the hills near where you live, it's a trek to Matlock from where you are, amd even further over my way. Doesn't look like you're too far from the coast, so theres probably beaches you can go and check out.

They're stock tyres, he wants a Mod tyre that will last. I'd get a Creepy if I were you, the Montys are lighter and grip better but the creepys last a bit longer, just don't get a try-all, they wear really fast on the rear.

My coolasf**k brother told me the outcome, even when I told him not too. I'm still going to watch it later though.

Theres some natural near everywhere in the North West, it's just a case of finding it! Head for the nearest rocky hills and get exploring, it's so much fun!

My f**king useless video machine didn't record, I didn't use the timer either, I put it in and set it off properly, so either the video cassette is knackered or the machine is. Hopefully Iplayer has it anyway. EDIT: It does indeed, yay! EDIT: But it isn't working....

Well the Brawn cars are a year ahead of Maclaren and Ferrari, Honda started developing them between the 07 and 08 seasond I think, so they've had loads more time. Then Honda pulled out and Brawn had to get the backing from other people, but the car was pretty much done by then I think. Setting the video for the qualifying, I'm off out riding. If anyone watches the first play of the race tommorrow, can you use spoilers until after the second play has finished? Just in case I come on to check up. :

If it offers the repair option then it will keep all your programs and settings. The only problem is that some viruses latch onto your programs, not the OS. Can't you just run a virus scan and spyware scan?
-
I havn't heard anything about that. I'm going to watch the qualifying later on, but I don't think hamilton is going to do well this season, there's just too much wrong with the car. Either of the Brawn drivers could do it though, the cars arn't even set-up perfectly yet and they qualified 1,2. Brawn has backing by Virgin now, so they shouldn't have a funding problem this year! I reckon Button will win it this season, but we'll just have to see what happens tommorrow.
