Feck me, a whole 2.1kg lighter than my Kot! How light do you reckon you could make it if you cheated? (Front rim and tyre on the back etc)
-
On a vaguely related subject, can they really get messed up? One of my videos has about 1500 views, but 2500 downloads?! Where as my other one that's nearest has 100 downloads?

TSG Evolution! They're more of an oval, head shaped helmet than the traditional perfect half-sphere piss-pots. http://www.ukbikestore.co.uk/Product/0/tsg...tionhelmet.html I've got a camo one somewhere from when I used to do dirt jumping.

Andrew Key? It's an allen key. The tapers on the crank arm might have been damaged, but round of the tapers on the BB? No chance haha, they're made of hardened steel.

Cracked/snapped bb axle is my guess.

Used To Ride Trials For 4/5 Years And Now I'm Back!
Muel replied to Olly's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Those are still the only decent 135mm freehub rear hubs, but in the last couple of years there have been a lot more options for having a front freewheel on a stock. I'm running a Pro2 Trials on the back with Middleburn Super Pro Trials cranks. (The proper original TI bashring ones. ) 16:13 gearing, best set-up ever! I'd recommend trying someones bike with a front disc, I much prefer them to front maggy but it's purely personal preferance. A lot of the TGS riders now run front vees intead of front maggys I think. -
I sold a fairly similar spec bike about a year ago, but with a better front hub, front brake, cranks and headset, but worse BB for £450. But the way bikes are selling at the moment, I'd say you'd be lucky to get £350-400 ish.

Can I just ask, are you the original Mint Sauce guy? Probably the only bit I miss from MBUK. (Apart from Hip Hop) Amazing video though, that wall plant thingy over the gap was daft.

I've just managed to complete a routine for the first time since before christmas. I think I've finally managed to kick the various illnesses I've had these last few months, I've still got a chesty cough and a cold, but I didn't go all light headed and woozy which is a good sign, I nearly dropped the bar bench pressing last time I tried. I had to drop the weight on flat and incline bench press, but other than that they've all stayed the same, but some are looking like I'll have to put them up because they were too easy. Maybe it's the amount of trials I've been riding over the winter, but i did 5 sets of 10 shrugs and it was a piece of piss.

They look good so far! Can't wait to try out some steeper, higher, shorter geo.
-
Looks nice Andy, what rear hub is that? I thought the Kamels had a Mod spaced rear end, or is it a new hub? Set of white rims and that would look immense.
-
Or two really high spec bikes second hand.

They snap and crack a lot unless your a super smooth comp rider, and the guy is a fully grown man. I'm 5'11 and it was tiny compared to my Echo Lite. They are competition bikes designed for experienced riders who are really smooth on their bikes, a beginner isn't a smooth experienced rider, especially when you've spent 24 years throwing motorbikes around. (No offence meant)

You would have thought it would be baggy in that region, but it wasn't. It had a rubber coated panel on the front which gave some protection to water rushing through when a wave hit you, and made it really stretchy.

I've never done any surfing, but I've done a lot of body boarding, (Take the piss if you like but the surf was always tiny on anglesey, and that's the only place we went.) I got a full O'Niell wetsuit with detachable arms, and I got it for £50 because it was the only one left in the shop! Fitted me perfectly from new. That should probably worry me though because it's a womens ones... The guys talking about getting one that fits are so right though, I had ones before that felt comfy enough, but then I got my womens one and it was just snug all over. (Started getting tight on my shoulders though when I was 15/16).

Didn't ask why, just if he was the only one.

I have a rear anodized Atomz rim and I ran it for a couple of days with some citrus pads on a smooth rim, it wore the anodizing off within the first ride.
-
I'd say not, they feel really small in my experience, even for a Mod. I'd get a stock if I were you having ridden motorbikes for years, I find the riding styles are more similar. (I've been riding motorbike trials for about 5 years).
-
+1, mine's 2 years and 3 months old now, hardly ever skipped.
-
Dave knows it, I ran an Echo 2 bolt booster on my 07 lite, it was like it was designed for these frames. If it's not stiff enough with a 2 bolt, I'd get some CNC backings if you don't already have them, they make a huge difference. Bike looks sweet. Give it a front disc, white hubs and white bars and it would look quite similar to my 07! The colours are really similar.

Be Part Of The Biggest Trials Street Ride

£60 train fare. That doesn't get there until 12:30 anyway. Anyone from the North going down? Fancy splitting petrol money? -
Been Offered Onza Muscleman Cranks For £42 Worth It?
Muel replied to matt-richardson's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
One of the mods on here once told me that they never validated someone unless they started every sentence with a capital letter, ended it with a full stop and put I instead of i. Just some advice, not looking to start anything. (You look your doing pretty well actually anyway, just though it might help you get validated faster). £42 for muscleman cranks is extorsion though, you can get Echo 6061s for £50 brand new from tarty, and from my experience, they are just in another league! keep the cranks tight on the tapers from new and keep checking them, and they'll last for years. -
The hole in the head tube of the Neon is f**k all like a kamels, and the kamel wasn't the first frame to have a hole in the headtube. I think that pretty much all the design options for trials frames have been explored now, why don't you try designing something new?
-
He's the guy that owns TartyBikes, I think he has probably tried out a few pairs over the years....
-
That won't make much difference, the rear tyre and wheels are pretty heavy, theres at least half a kilo to loose there if he can be arsed. It's under 9kg, just ride it! It's nice to have lightweight bikes, but from my experience once you get a mod under 9kg it's light enough. (10kg for a stock).
