  1. It might well be 60% heavier, but boosters rarely weigh over 150g anyway, and that's for a big fat heffer like an Echo Control. The new Echo TR is 54g.
  2. With orange rims? Fack orf.
  3. I'd say it's a dry seal in the caliper. Take the caliper off, take the pads out, pump the lever so the pistons move out, then spray a tiny bit of WD40 onto the pistons, then push them back with a screwdriver, wipe the caliper out really thoroughly and puts the pads back in, then refit the caliper. It should work, if it doesn't then I'd look into whether the lever blade is damaged. Or the other way round, the lever blades easier to check.
  4. Do you mean that it feels as if it is getting stuck, but you can still pull it all the way in? like it moves in steps? or does it actually jam and won't move any further? It could be a number of things. First thing I'd look into is whether it has a dry caliper seal, then if the lever has flared where the brass barrell fits into the lever blade.
  5. Powder coat it white, then it will go with any colour scheme and permanent markers will stand out.
  6. Theres usually loads on ebay, I'd get something about 7-10mm thick If i were you.
  7. I've never used distilled water, I just use tap water. I was just going to run plain water for the summer, but I'll probably just leave it, it's light enough.
  8. 16:13 on my stock with 170mm cranks. 18:12 on my Mod with 158mm cranks. Perfect.
  9. Trial Magazine do both. http://www.trialmag.net/
  10. When abouts will the frame leave for the UK? I really want to try out some new geo.
  11. Ooohh. Let us know how it goes in a couple of months yeh? I'm using Silkoline ProCool a the moment, it's pretty light at the lever but not as light as water, and it seems to lube the seals well enough. It's also freeze-proof to -32, which is useful.
  12. Once the stem bolts are done up, you don't need a topcap, it's only to tension the headset then the stem bolts hold it in place. Tarty will easily get it to you by tommorrow morning if they have any in. My brother ran slash cut forks with a flat top stem for ages, it just needs to be inside the stem. I'd just miss the ride though if I were you, buying a new stem is a bit extreme...
  13. Doesn't oil float on top of water? So won't it just all seperate and the oil move up to the top?
  14. I much prefer 2 bolt boosters, 4 bolt ones make the brake too stiff I've found and reduce the bite and hold. Is it a T-Lite? my brother has a 4 bolt RB booster on his, it's alright, not very loud though. I'd recommend CNC backings with a 2 bolt booster, they make the brake nice and stiff but don't reduce bite.
  15. Whats your reason for that? People have been doing it for over 10 years and it doesn't do anything bad to your brake. You won't get validated faster just by posting loads, you need to put full sentences in. "rock pads" isn't a good reply, you didnt even say which ones. Just offering advice, not looking for trouble. Best of luck getting validated.
  16. Maggies are far better in some ways, it's just what you prefer.

Is that your project 309 Will? Whats the engine, Mi16? I saw a Dimma 205 today, sounded amazing. Any idea what engine they had or what mods they had done? I don't know anything about them. :$
  18. You look so comfy on that bike now mate, looks like you've got it sorted now. Get a proper vid out! You've improved loads since the last one.
  19. What you need to do dave is buy my Echo. Strong enough to take a beating, and it's got a disc out back. (I do prefer maggy on stock, but disc is waayyy better on mod than maggy).
  20. I found mutiny spokes to be amazing. I built a 36h wheel with a Monty TI hub and a Try-all rim, it was the stiffest wheel I've ever owned.
  21. My old T-Pro feeling all wierd and floppy, then I noticed the down tube was almost in two pieces. I'd only had the b*****d thing for 6 weeks. It was second hand but I'd borrowed money to buy it, so before I could buy a new frame I had to pay off the debt.
  22. I think JT had a load of the original Zoos not so long ago and there was someone else, not sure who though...
  23. I'd go for a lite dave, but then I would wouldn't I. They're really strong, not so much the 07/08 but if you like short frames, the 06s are really strong. Geos nice aswell, 1005, +55ish is all I can remember. I wasn't very keen on my 07 Long Maggy Lite, the 08 Long disc rode much nicer, even though it was only slightly different. Apparantly they're stronger aswell, don't hold me to that though.
  24. Looking good Ad, what does the Yaabaa weigh now with those tyres? I need to get me a barrell, I seem to remember you had one strapped to a pallet a while back? Did it work well? I'd want to be able to move it around
