You missed off front vee back magura, from the rides I've been on it's really common. I run a front 180mm Mono trial, with an original mini lever blade, and a rear magura with a monty splitter, Echo 2bolt booster, Tensile mounts, GU blade, CNC Phatpads, metal TPA and bled with Silkolene ProCool.

It doesn't make a difference whether it's straight or curved blade, it's the legnth and offset that matter.

Take the stacks out from under tha stem, and put them above the stem then try it out. Just play about with them until you find where you want it, then cut it down. To cut it down, wrap tape around it and use it as a guide, then cut it down and file it down. You could use a grinder aswell, I find thats the best way to get it accurate.

The legnth of the wheelbase has a tiny effect on the legnth of the cockpit, the bar/stem make the biggest difference to the feel of a bike, that and the head angle. I'm about 5'10 and I've got a Kot MS2, which has an 1100 wheelbase, but it's only got a 71.5 degree head angle, so it doesn't feel very long. Also that list describes pretty much every frame made since 2005, any idea on the rest of the geometry? High/Low BB, Steep/Slack Head Angle etc.

Your question has already been answered? Hammer the lockring round with a centre punch and a hammer with the crank arm in a vice.

When you glued them back in with the superglue, did you fill the backings up with it? If not it could work, just to make sure that every bit of surface area that could be glued in is glued in.

I heard about these two chavs that broke into a retired couples flat to see what they could steal, and the old guy tried to stand up to them so they knocked him to the floor and kicked the shit out of him, he had broken ribs, fractured skull, bruised internal organs and his face was black and blue. He didn't die but if you ask me they should have been put down, I don't want to live in a country with scum like that. It only has to happen once aswell, if these two got sentenced to death and a huge thing was made about it, then anyone else contemplating beating up an old bloke for a few hundred quid may well think twice.
