  1. Are you volunteering Bongo? Is so, yes please.
  2. That's a shame Nadine, we're using freehostia.com at work, they're really reliable as far as I know, we've never had any trouble. Oh by the way, thanks for letting me review your site for my assignment last year, it made it really easy because it was a similar subject to the one I was building, so ta!
  3. File the notches deeper and do the hub bolts hub tighter.
  4. Oil is going to run out, maybe not tommorrow but it will some day, and we can't just change straight over when it finally runs out, we need to change over gradually so the world doesn't grind to a standstill.
  5. Well I tend to think that's just common sense, and at the moment my Hope is on the way to Hope, so I have a maggy on the rear, bitch.
  6. Definately get a stock, I struggle to ride Mod sometimes and I'm only 5'11".
  7. Not that I know of, I suppose you could pull one piston in with a pair of pliers then squeeze the lever to push the other one out, I've never done it though. Spin the wheel round, you'll be able to see the rotor waving about in the caliper. If it is doing then it's bent, and you can easily straighten it with an adjustable spanner. If you're careful enough you can get it perfectly true.
  8. Me too, we've ridden a lot there the last few months and two of my four hopes have blown caliper seals now. I love that place, can't wait to get back there again!
  9. I'd go for a Tensile mate, I got mine for christmas 2 years ago, in that time my mate has had 2 Enos, 2 Try-Alls and a Monty. Enough said! Just clean all the grease out and run it with WD40 or some other thin lube in there.
  10. Mono Trial brakes don't have post mount, they're IS. Push the pistons back into the caliper with a screwdriver. Also check you havn't got a dry seal, which would cause the piston to stick. If you've got a dry seal, I.E. one of the pads doesn't move when you pull the lever, hold the piston that does move into the caliper with some pliers and squeeze the lever to force the sticking pistonout, then spray it with some WD40, wipe the caliper out really thoroughly and push if back in with a screwdriver, it should then be sorted.
  11. I prefer my tensioner, you can take the wheel in and out without worrying about having the set the disc up again, and you never need to tension the chain because the spring does it for you. I'd also prefer to keep my big 10mm bolts, they're so nice. Why didn't they just make it with bolt-on dropouts? Then people could choose the geometry, horizontal/vertical, and ultimately disc/none disc. EDIT: Couldn't you just tap an M5 thread into the inserts? It shouldn't be that hard I imagine, especially if they're made of aluminium.
  12. I'd go for stock, I've found mine much easier to learn on since I went stock, I'm getting better every single ride, then when I go back on my Mod I find I can do new stuff every time I go on that aswell. Riding a mile is a piece of piss on anything, it only takes 15 mins to walk a mile. Stocks are much easier to ride anywhere though I've found, whenever I go back on my Mod it seems to take forever to get anywhere! What you really need to do is go along to a group ride and have a go on as many different bikes as possible, then you can decide what to get. Although to be honest, you'll end up changing parts all the time anyway, I've been riding 2 years and I've had a T-Pro, a Zona Zip, an 06 Echo Lite short, an 07 Echo Lite long, an 08 Echo Lite Disc long and now I've just got a Kot MS2 aswell as well as the 08 Echo.
  13. If you say so, personally the best combo I've tried is my front Try-All/rear Rubber Queen set. Tyre roll isn't an issue because I run my tyres really hard.
  14. That bikes had some nice work done, but it seems daft to me to do all that drilling and then use Maxxis tyres.
  15. I learnt a lot on mine, you can give them a lot of hammer. Don't worry if the rear bash plate mounts cracks, they pretty much all do it. I just rode mine round cracked until I sold it, it doesn't really matter.
  16. Ah right I get you know, we knicked them just down the road. You'd never get the biggest one I've got in a car, we originally had 2 and my mates dad came with his transit to take one of them, but it wouldn't fit.

  17. Just rolled them in. :P

  18. Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory. This brings back memories, I bought this album when I was 10.
  19. For £1858 you could build yourself your dream bike, which would have better parts than a lot of the ones on the Monty!
  20. You can't pick two because you set it as the wrong type of Poll.
  21. The geometry of those two frames is completely different, the dob has a 1060 WB and a 70.5 head angle, and the short Echo has a 1080 WB and a 72 degree head angle, they will ride completely differently. You should choose what geometry you want then start looking at what frame to get!
  22. EDIT: Hmmm, I did post that before. I thought I'd cancelled it!
  23. I've got 2 dead bikes and am enjoying the fire too much.
  24. See kids, becoming TF royalty takes away your life!
